Times are changing for moody mammoth Manny (voiced by Ray Romano), motormouthed sloth Sid (John Leguizamo) and crafty saber-toothed tiger Diego (Denis Leary) in this third installment of the beloved computer-animated children's franchise. Life heats up for our heroes when they meet some new and none-too-friendly neighbors: the mighty dinosaurs.

We can never get enough family entertainment and this the 3rd installment in the Ice Age series is as entertaining as the first two were. The story focuses on family, and the birth of Ellie and Manny's first child. It isn't long before the crazy antics start as they stumble onto a neighboring young family... of T-Rexes. Up till now I felt the first Ice Age movie was by far much better than the second one which was good but it just didn't live up to the original. This one is better than the second film and is just as fun as the first film was. The animation seems even better this time around, you have the whole gang back including the Scrat who continues his antics chasing his acorn except this time around he has some competition in a female. Toss in some dinosaurs and a new character named "Buck" and you get a fun time for all. I felt before watching this that it might be getting a little old and worn out but this was great fun with a fast pace, lots of adventures and some great laughs along the way. The voice acting again was stellar and I can only imagine that the 3D effects used in the theaters made it that much more fun but it is still highly entertaining on DVD. Kids of all ages are sure to love this and it is a must own for any fan of the series. The additions that were added to create the story really helped in making this a fun filled adventure that demands multiple viewings.
