With chaotic social fires swirling around them, seven college students (Vanessa Gomez, Cooney Horvath, Jen Kim, Spencer Ryan, David Stamps, Mark Strano and Marisa Sullivan) come together to seek shelter from the 1992 Los Angeles riots at a mansion in the Hollywood Hills, where inhibitions fall by the wayside, thanks in part to an open bar.

You don't get to see many comedies that are set in the 90's so that alone makes for an interest story here. The issues at hand in the film are very relevant even today. The film is set during the 1992 Los Angeles riots but Director, Charles B. Unger does a great job not letting the film become a complete downer. He deals with the issues at hand while keeping a great balance with the romance and comedy. Come Together is a comedy with a lot going for it including a great ensemble cast, a fast pace and a story that keeps you interested the entire time. Some of the characters are off the wall but they all still deal with realistic situations like finding themselves in a world gone crazy. I found the film to be thought-provoking and at times hilarious as well. Finding a comedy with any kind of originally today is a tall task which makes Come Together that much more special. I had a great time watching it and I recommend the film to any fan of the genre.
