In homage to the action films of the early 1980s, the beautiful Cherry is an exotic dancer who is raped and attacked by a group of sleazy men in the club where she works. The men escape justice and she vows revenge and kills them off one by one. Things start to spiral out of control when a mysterious hit man named Bull is hired to put an end to Cherry's bloody tirade. She soon realizes that there is more at stake than she ever imagined.

I wasn't expecting a lot from "Cherry Bomb" but I was hoping for at least an entertaining revenge film and I pretty much got what I hoped for. The story is simple enough, a stripper named Cherry Bomb is raped and beaten in her place of work by a group of thugs. After the police do nothing about it because of their involvement with the thugs and club owner Cherry decides to exact her own form of revenge with help from her brother.

The action hardly ever stops but there's also some decent character development as well in the film which allows you to have some feelings towards the characters. Production wise the film looks pretty good for the budget it had and the acting for the most part was above average.

Director, Kyle Day did a great job at keeping things moving at a fast pace and not dragging the movie down with unwanted drama. The action scenes where nicely done and there's even a few twists and turns tossed in to keep the audience engaged. "Cherry Bomb" isn't the best movie in it's genre but I still found it to be an enjoyable thrill ride and I really liked the climax. If you like film's like "Death Wish" or "I spit on Your Grave" then I highly recommend check this one out. Julin did a great job playing the lead, I look forward to seeing what she does next. "Cherry Bomb" is one of those movies that doesn't need mush of an introduction which is why I stayed away from plot details which would of only resulted in spoilers.
