The Place For The Latest Movie Reviews
Cast: Kevin Nealon, Robert Hoffman, Doris Roberts, Tim Meadows, Ashley Tisdale
The Pearsons' summer rental house has it all: plenty of room, a swimming pool and a space alien camping out in the attic. The kids can't help but love the cute little guy, until they learn that he's not alone, and his buddies aren't as nice. Now, what started as a summer retreat has become a brave quest to save the planet.
What a thoroughly enjoyable time, the film never tries to be anything more than it is which is a family oriented alien invasion flick that is just plain fun. The film is funny and fast paced, the violence in the film is cartoonish so there is nothing really scary here. The aliens have four arms but look like an offspring of the gremlins, the smallest one who goes by the name of Sparks is really cute, he is the brains of the group but really is peaceful and doesn't want to harm anyone. The other aliens are here with one thing in mind, to take over the world. Their weapon of choice is that they can shoot darts that turn adults, but not kids, into robots controlled by a standard game box controllers. The kids must try and keep the aliens in the attic and away from the adults and in turn it makes for some great fun. The cast are all very good including Ashley Tisdale and Carter Jenkins. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this and my daughter who watched it with be also said after it was over that it was much better than she thought it was going to be. Aliens in The Attic is predictable but it is also loads of fun the entire family can enjoy together and you can never get enough of that. Available on DVD and Blu-ray, the Special Features include
