After learning that Bianca Stratford (Larisa Oleynik) is forbidden to date until man-hating older sister Kat (Julia Stiles) finds a beau, Bianca's would-be boyfriend hatches a plan: Pay moody school rebel Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger) to escort the churlish Kat around town. Larry Miller plays the siblings' overprotective dad.
When this comedy first came out it was not only a very funny take on William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" set in a contemporary Seattle high school but it also helped launch the careers of Julia Stiles and the late Heath Ledger. I am sure by now most of you that love comedies have seen this film at some point but now is your chance to own the ultimate version of this classic with the release of the 10th Anniversary DVD Edition. I loved this film when it first came out and it was great revisiting it again, I laughed as much this time around as I did the first time I saw the film.
