Taylor dialed Zac's number as soon as he saw the article.

"Hey mom. Is Zac there?" He asked.

"Oh, yes Taylor. He's here. I wanted you to call and talk to him. Did you see the article?" Diana asked.

"That's what I'm calling about."

"Good. Oh, here he is." She handed the phone to Zac.

"Hello?"

"Zac, I just saw the paper."

Zac let out an exasperated sigh. "Oh, yeah."

"I knew this was gonna come back to us somehow, but I didn't think it would like this." Taylor said.

"I know." Zac groaned. "They made me look like such an ass!"

"Yeah, the press has a tendancy to do that." Taylor said, rolling his eyes. "Did you get to the inside?"

"No...what's on the inside?"

"More pictures."

"No shit." Zac said. He quickly grabbed the paper off the counter and flipped to the article. There was a picture of he and Quinn walking down the street, holding hands. Zac was wearing a hat, but it was obvious it was him. Another picture showed her getting into his truck and the two of them driving down the road.

"Shit." Zac said. "Not only am I an ass, I'm a liar too."

"Just...don't take it that personally. So we made a mistake."

"No, you didn't do anything. I control what comes out of my mouth."

"You've gotten in trouble before for it though."

"Yeah, but this time it's different."

"How?"

"I got Quinn into this. She's so scared. She already got a few letters in the mail. I didn't mean to drag her into this. God, I'm so mad at myself."

"Yeah....that's terrible that she's already gotten stuff."

"You should have seen the look on her face when she saw it."

"Was she upset?"

"Not really, just more shocked than anything."

"I can see that. Is she considering calling it quits?"

"Calling what quits? Our friendship?"

"No, your...thing. Whatever you are."

"Do you think she would stop seeing me over this?"

"I don't know. I just know that when you're like we are, you have to make a lot of sacrifices for love. I know I have." Taylor said.

"We're just friends." Zac said.

"Zac, we all know you have more than just a friendship. I don't makeout with my friends." Taylor pointed out.

"I know. But...what do we have? I don't even know."

"Just....be strong. You've got a great thing going on, no matter what it is."

"She's taking this really tough."

"That's terrible...I hope she's okay."

"What can I say...people are so quick to judge."

"Just, hang tight, little bro."

"I will. Gosh, what a way to start a tour."

"I know."

"Taylor, I refuse to let this thing run my life."

"That's a good attitude. Just be careful."
