Isaac rubbed Angela's shoulders. They were sitting on a couch in his living room. She had returned about an hour before from her parents' house, sobbing.
"Shhhh...." he said, putting an arm around her. She leaned her head on his shoulder, her tears sliding down her smooth cheeks an onto his t-shirt.
"They kicked...me....out." She sobbed.
"We knew this would be hard."
"I know." She sniffed, wiping her eyes.
"And we knew that they didn't like me. I
didn't make you do this, sweetie."
"I know. I wanted to." She said, sniffing again. Isaac sighed. It was very difficult for him to sit back and watch his fiancee sob because her parents kicked her out of her house.
"Isaac, you didn't see the look on her face though. She hates me. Her face was so...so....bitter."
He only sighed and wrapped his arm tighter around her.
She stopped crying after awile, and looked up at him. "I can't wait until we get married." She said.
Isaac looked at her, and smiled. "Me either." He said.
"It's going to be perfect."
"I agree."
"And after that, we can forget about everything."
"Yup."
"Oh, I want to so bad."
"Me too." He said.
"I don't need my parents." She said. "I don't."
"Nope."
"They were more harm than good. besides, they hated you, so how good could they be?"
Isaac looked into his fiancee's eyes, seeing the hurt and betrayal in them.
"They hated the man I love...And I don't love them anymore." She said.
She was silent for a moment, focusing on his soft frown eyes. "How can you say something that means so much good but hurts so bad?"
Isaac didn't have the answer.
