Taylor pulled the sheets up around them farther. He scooted himself as close to Shirley as possible, their bare bodies pressing up against each other. Shirley closed her eyes and smiled faintly. Taylor reached over and brushed a red, curly strand of hair out of her eyes and tucked it behing her ear, then continued to stroke her hair. She responded by moving her face closer to his and rubbing her nose against his.

"I missed you, Taylor." She whispered.

"I missed you too."

"No more fighting." She said, reaching up to touch his cheek.

"Okay." He said with a grin. "No more fighting."

"Good." She said. "Now we can finally be happy." She said, closing her eyes.

"Yeah...Not more fighting." He said.

"Yeah..." She said, trailing off.

He smiled to himself as he watched her fall asleep. She finally looked happy. Taylor put his arm around her side, assuring himself that he was as close to her as he could possibly be.
