An hour after they left Zac's house, Zac found himself in Isaac's upstairs guestroom, alone with Quinn. Zac was beggining to feel delerious with nervousness and yearning for Quinn and the same time that it was overpowering him.
Isaac had at least four guestrooms in his house, but it started when Quinn had picked the one that was upstairs and at the end of the hall. It was very small, and it didn't even have it's own bathroom. She had then stripped down to her bra and underwear so casually that Zac had almost had a heart attack. She had claimed that she didn't have anything he hadn't seen before and proceeded to change into her pajamas. The crimson colored silk was beggining to make him antsy. When she walked over to the dresser and lit a few candles to 'keep the mood' he nearly died.
So now Zac was sitting on the carpeted floor with Quinn beside him, and they were leaning against the loveseat that was against one wall, which was a pull out bed.
"Aren't you going to change into your pj's?" She asked.
"Um...I could." He said.
"Okay." She said.
Was it just Zac or was she acting strange? He said nothing as he reached into his duffle bag and pulled out a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. He looked desperately for a place to change, but saw none.
"Zac, unless there's something you're not telling me, I'm sure there's nothing you have that I haven't seen." She said reassuringly.
"Okay." he said with an awkward grin. He kicked off his tennis shoes, then pretended to be interested in the carpet as he fiddled with his belt buckle.
Quinn smiled at Zac's innocence. He had started to turn around when she changed, and now he didn't want to even change in front of her. He pushed down his pants to reveal cookie monster boxers and white socks. He quickly pulled on his sweatpants, then stripped off his shirt. She focused on the spiderman tattoo, thinking of how surprised she had been when he showed it to her. He pulled on a t-shirt, then walked back over to her and sat down.
"I like your pajamas." He commented.
"Thanks. I like them too." Quinn said.
Zac reached over to touch the sleeve of them, feeling the soft silk with his fingers.
"So tell me." She said, facing him. "What's this girlfriend of yours like?"
Zac's hope fell. This was not the topic he hoped to be discussing.
"Oh, she's nice, and she's kinda pretty....um, she likes to talk, and go shopping, and she's not very smart, but she's nice.....I dunno..." He said, smiling. "There's nothing wrong with her....I just dont like her that way."
Quinn giggled. "Then why did you ask her to be your girlfriend?"
"Oh, because I was lonely, and she caught me at a weak moment and asked me if we were, and I just said yes." He said.
"oh. Romantic." Quinn said, rolling her eyes.
"Ah, I guess." Zac grinned. "So what about you? Any boys in your life?"
Quinn grinned. "Um, a few...but nothing serious."
"Oh really?"
"Yeah....a few nice ones, but nothing permanent." She said with a smile.
"Cool." Zac said. This was veeeeery promising.
