He got into the car, and they chatted about old times until they reached the Hanson house, where Zac saw Isaac's car in the driveway.
He got out and he and Quinn walked inside. They found his parents, Ike, and Angela sitting in the living room.
"Hi honey. Hi Quinn" Diana greeted them. Zac's eyes darted around the room.
"Hey." He said. He nodded at Angela and his brother, who were sitting on the couch together, the hands loosely holding onto one another.
"So what brings you two over here?" Zac asked, walking over the the loveseat near them. Quinn followed and to Zac's delight, sat down with him and folded her legs underneath her so that her leg was just touching Zac's.
"We're just talking." Walker said.
"We're planning on telling Angela's parents about the wedding soon." Isaac said. Angela nodded and smiled.
"That's great. Good luck." Zac said.
"Thanks." Angela said. She smiled at him, then at Ike. Zac had always liked Angela. She was his age, and although they didn't have much in common, he had always gotten along with her. He could understand why Ike was so head over heels for her. She was very softspoken and polite, but she was very smart and people-wise. Also, she was very gentle and caring, and Zac had always seen her as a very mommy-like person, which he was sure pleased Ike to death.
"So are you both still coming to dinner on Christmas Eve? We're also doing something Christmas day, too." Diana said hopefully.
Isaac looked at Angela, then they looked back at his parents. "We'll make it Christmas Eve, but I can't be sure." He said.
"Okay, well just come if you can, we sure would like you here." Diana said, smiling at Angela.
"Okay." She said.
"We're kinda just taking it day by day." Isaac said to his parents.
"That's fine. Wise." Walker said, nodding.
The three couples stayed in the Hanson living room talking and discussing their plans for Christmas for at least another hour when Isaac stood up.
"We'd better go, hon." He said.
"Okay." She agreed.
Isaac looked over at Zac and Quinn on the couch. "What are you two up to tonight?" He asked.
The two looked at each other and shrugged. "We were just talking and catching up, but I think I should go home now." Quinn said.
Isaac had an idea. He could see that his little brother was no where near ready to see Quinn go for the evening. "Do you two wanna stay over at my house tonight?"
Zac looked at Quinn, and she shrugged. "Do we?" He asked.
"Um, I think that would be okay." She said.
"That way you two can talk all night. We won't care." Isaac said, looking at Angela.
"No, not at all." She said, looking at the two of them.
Zac looked at his parents. "Can we?"
"Sure, honey. If you guys want to catch up, go ahead." Walker said, nodding at his son.
"Cool. It's all set. Lemme run up and get some stuff, then I'll be back." Zac said, running up the steps to his room.
