Zac sighed. Taylor threw him an annoyed glance. He propped his head on his hand as he listened to the man drone on and on and on and on....Taylor kicked him under the table, and Zac sat up straight, mentally telling himself to kick Taylor's butt once they were out of that room. Isaac threw them a glance that told them both they had better settle down. Zac looked at his watch. They were supposed to have been done at five, and it was now six fifteen. Dinner was being served at the Hanson house at six thirty, and Zac was worrying himself to death, thinking that he would miss it. He was also ticked off because he was going to be late to see Quinn...not an impresssion he wanted to make.
After another twenty minutes, the meeting was over. Zac jumped up and was the first of twenty people out of the crowded meeting room. He waited at the front doors of the Mercury building for his two impossibly slow brothers, then raced out to the parking lot.
"Zac, calm down." Isaac said, tossing Taylor the keys.
"But I wanted to drive!" Zac protested.
"When you're like this?"
"Well..."
"I think not." Taylor said, climbing into the passenger seat.
Zac fastened his seatbelt in the back of the car, then sighed.
Isaac turned around to look at him. "You nervous man?"
"Yeah." Zac said, looking out the window. "I've never been so nervous in my life."
"That couldn't be good." Taylor commented as he pulled out of the parking lot.
"You're telling me." Zac said. "Look at this, my hands are sweaty! I never have sweaty hands!" Zac exclaimed, shoving his hands in Isaac's face.
"Ulgh." he said, pushing them away.
"Just don't shake her hand." Taylor said. "Simple as that."
"Yeah." Isaac agreed, shaking his head. "Go straight for the hug." He said.
"It'll make you look sensetive."
"Really?" Zac asked. "Thanks for the tips guys."
"No problem." Isaac said.
"I guess I've forgotten how big of a deal this is for you." Taylor said. "What's it been, two years?"
"Three." Zac answered quickly Three long years without Quinn.
"Gosh, has it been that long?" Isaac wondered out loud.
"Yes." Zac said.
He quickly checked his hair in the mirror. "You look fine dude." Taylor said.
"I know..." Zac said. He looked down at his clothes. A tight, black t-shirt and dark green, baggy khakis and boots, with his black leather jacket. He looked good, acording to Jessica. She had always been the person to ask when in doubt of the fashion world. (aka, "You're going out of the house like THAT?!?!")
"Just try not to think about it. Not much longer now." Taylor said, turning onto another street.
"So what about Monica? Isn't that her name?" Isaac asked, turning around.
"Yeah, Monica, what about her?"
"Well...what does all of this mean for you two?" Isaac asked.
"We'll have to see." Zac said. "Right now, I just want to see my girl." He said happily.
