Nadine sighed and prepped herself to go into the room of loud, drunk men with no consciences. She took a deep breath and opened the door that brought more drinks and snacks for them. She walked over to them, and set one of her trays down on the table.
"Would you like another drink?" She asked a man politely.
"Yeah." He slurred.
"There you are sir." She said, setting the drink on the table in front of him with a coaster.
"Hey, over here." A man said, waving his hand drunkenly at her.
"Yes sir?" She said, mustering up all of her patience and walking over to him.
"Gimme a shot of that stuff." He said, pointing to a drink on her tray.
"Sure." She said, pouring the liquid into his glass.
"Thanks honey." He said, slapping her butt.
"My name is Nadine sir, please use it." She said through her clenched teeth.
"I like my name for you better." He said, giving her a sly smile while moving his hand lower.
"Stop that!" She said, not raging with anger.
"Come on, don't be like that…" He said, rubbing her ass.
"Don't call me that!" She yelled, smacking his hand away with her free one.
"Hey, bitch, knock it off!" One man yelled from across the table.
"Yeah, what am I paying for?" Another yelled, the man that had rented the room for the birthday boy in the first place.
"You have no right!" She yelled, picking up her tray.
"Hey, I'm paying for you, you'll do whatever I fucking want!" the man said, getting up from the table.
There were five of them in the room, not counting the birthday boy, who was now staring off into space he was so drunk. There were only two doors, and she was sober. She was okay, as for now.
"If you weren't so drunk, maybe you could realize that you are being an asshole!" She said, eyes starting to tear up.
"That's it, you're not getting paid, you little bitch." He said, throwing his glass at her. It missed her by a good three feet, but it still scared her enough to send her running from the room.
