Taylor paced around his hotel room. He knew that he wanted to take her, but she hadn't sounded to happy when she left. He knew what he had to do. Taylor stalked out of his room, then down the hall, and down the main stair case, where the maids were already cleaning and preparing for another day. He looked at all of them, and they gave him particular looks as he scrambled through the lobby, looking at all the maids.
"She's in there." One of them finally said.
"What?" Taylor asked, snapping his head around.
"Nadine is in the kitchen." Susan said.
"Oh, ok." Taylor said, walking towards the kitchen.
Susan smiled to herself. That Nadine would be going to the party after all.
Nadine sat in the kitchen, while the cooks bustled around her. She watched them almost entranced by their movement. She shouldn’t stay in there much longer without doing anything. She just needed a place to think, and the kitchen seemed like a place that she could go where everyone else was too busy to notice here. Nadine had been sitting there a few minutes just sorting all that had happened out, when she heara yell.
She heard a crash, and looked up to see Taylor on the floor with one of the bussboys, and broken plates and dishes with food were scattered on the floor. Hardly anyone paid attention, and Nadine ran over to them. She helped Taylor up, then the bussboy.
"Oh my god." She said.
“You’re happy to see me.” Taylor said sarcastically.
“Just shut up a second.” She said hurredly.
“Um, what should I do about this...” Nathan said.
.
"It's okay, Nathan, i got it." She said to the startled busboy.
He walked away, still glancing at Taylor.
"Taylor, what are you doing here?" She hissed.
"I want to talk to you." He said.
"Well i could be fired." She said, quickly picking up the broken plates and and cups.
"I need to speak with you, Nadine." He said, looking into her eyes.
"I'll give you five minutes after i clean this mess up." She said.
"Okay." he said.
"Now scoot, before i get in trouble." She said.
"I'm going."
"I'll meet you in your room." She said.
"Okay." He said, walking out of the kitchen.
Nadine bent down again and picked up more of the broken pieces. She sighed, wondering what it was now. She felt her stomach flutter with nervousness. Nadine hadn’t felt that way in a long time. A few minutes later when she had picked up all the glass, she walked out of the swinging kitchen doors and up to Taylor’s room. She walked down to the end of the hall to where his suite was, and she could see that the door was cracked open.
She peeked in to see Taylor sitting on the edge of his bed, his hands in his hair with his head bent down. After a few moments, he stood, took a deep breath, then paced in front of the large window that overlooked Tulsa.
