Later on that afternoon, Isaac knocked on Wendy's door. A woman with honey colored hair and green eyes like Wendy's opened the door.

"Hi." She said. "Who are you?"

"Uh, I'm Isaac." He said.

"Oh, you're that guy that Wendy said was cute-"

She was cut off by Wendy yanking the door fully open. "Uh, hi Isaac." She said. "This is my cousin who says too much, Beth."

"Hi." Isaac said, giving her a small wave.

"Hi, I'm Beth." She said, leaning on the door and giving him a smile.

"Come on in." Wendy said, rolling her eyes.

"You'll have to excuse her, she's very exciteable." Wendy said with giggle. Isaac looked casually at Beth. She was taller than Wendy, maybe around five six or seven. She was a little heavier also, with a curvy but flattering body. She had honey colored hair and green eyes, and she had nice teeth that shone when she smiled. She looked friendly, Isaac decided.

"I am not." Beth said, playfully smacking her on the shoulder.

"Just ignore her." Wendy said.

Isaac walked in and they all walked over to the living room and sat down. Isaac noticed that Wendy sat down next to him, then looked at Beth and scooted over a foot. She looked at him, and they met eyes for a second, then both of their eyes darted back to Beth, who was grinning wickedly at them.

"So this is the famous Isaac." She said, sitting back in armchair crossing her legs.

"Yeah." Wendy said. "He's been my good friend since I got here."

"You have no idea how much she talks about you." She said.

"All good things I hope." Isaac said.

"Yeah, mostly." She said.

Isaac looked questioningly at Wendy. "She's joking." She reassured him.

He nodded. "So you're Wendy's cousin?"

"Yeah, I'm just visiting from back home."

"Oh." He said.

"So you're the oldest in the band?" She asked.

"Oh Wendy told you?"

"No, I already knew." She said.

"I was just the ignorant one." Wendy said.

"Nah, just....I dunno." Isaac said.

"Well I didn't know that my cousin was dating him, that's all!" Beth said with a laugh.

"Oh we're not dating." Wendy said.

"Oh." Beth said.

"Yeah, we're just friends." Isaac said.

"Isaac's one of the only people I know so far." Wendy said.

"Well that's nice." Beth said.

"Yeah, she's good company." Isaac said, looking at Wendy with a smile. By the end of the evening when Isaac went home, he had found out that Beth was visiting for a week from Georgia, and she was twenty two and single. Beth was very forward, but very nice and sweet like Wendy.

"So what' ja find out about the myster woman?" Taylor asked him the next day. He leaned on the counter of the small kitchen in their studio.

"She's Wendy's cousin, who is visiting her for a week. She's twenty two and single, and very nice looking, although she has a big mouth and likes to talk a lot." Isaac said.

"Oh." Taylor said nonchalantly. He looked over at Zac. "So what are you doing for a grammy date?"

"I'm eighteen." Zac said. "You're twenty one and you don't even have a date, so why should I have one?"

"I dunno." Taylor said, shrugging.

"What color do you think Wendy's dress should be?" Isaac asked, looking at the form of color choices the tailor had given him. Wendy had been measured and fit for a dress, and she had picked out the style, but she had left the color up to Isaac. All morning he had been flipping through a booklet of color samples trying to decide.

"Well, her hair is light brown, and her eyes are green, so how about blue?" Zac asked. "To bring out the color in her hair and eyes." He added.

Isaac and Taylor just looked at him.

"What?"

They both shrugged. Their younger brother amazed them sometimes.

"I guess blue would be alright. A nice, light blue." He said, flipping past the blues.

"Yeah, that one would look nice." Taylor said, pointing to a color.

Isaac leaned back in his chair and sighed. "My gosh, it's only Wednesday and I'm already nervous." he said with a smile.

"Don't sweat it man, we still got a few days." Taylor said.

"Besides, we're going to win." Zac said.

"I sure hope so." Isaac said. "I sure hope so."

Later on that evening, he went over to Wendy's house. Wendy came to the door, and Isaac was pleased to discover that Beth had gone to the store.

"Let's stay out here, it's so hot in there." She said, gesturing toward the house.

"Yeah." Isaac agreed. Lateley during the days, the tempature had risen to nearly one hundred, and it was still in the middle nineties in the evening, and it was still stunny and muggy. "Don't you have air conditioning?" He asked.

"No, not in that house." She said. "It doesn't have one, and it would just cost too much to have one put in."

"Oh." He said.

"So what's up?" She asked him.

"Well I came over here to ask you something."

"What's that?" She asked, looking over at him.

Isaac took a deep breath as he felt his voice fall to his feet. "Would you like to go to dinner with me?"
