"I'm going to have the most horrible blisters..." Nicole muttered a few minutes later. She and Adam had their share of ice skating, and she was busy unlacing her skates while he bought her an icy. She bent down to untie the other foot when she heard laughter in the chairs that were facing the other direction, right behind her. However, it wasn't their laughter that caught her attention....

"Zac is soooo cute."

"Yeah, I know."

"I was so glad when Meredith told me she was inviting him."

"Brooke, he's a freshman. Don't you think you should go for sophomore boys?" a girl asked her friend.

"Just because I'm a sophomore doesn't mean i have to go for guys my age."

"What, is he exempt from being a freshman?" Her friend asked scarcastically.

Brooke laughed. "No...he's just hot." She said with a giggle.

Nicole suddenly became very fascinated with the knot in her laces.

"You should go for him."

"I dunno..."

"He's single right now."

"Yeah, I know." Brooke said. "Finally."

"yeah. I heard he and this other girl had been together for like, months."

"I heard that too...I wonder why they broke up?"

"Beats me."

"She probobally couldn't handle him. God, he is soooo fine."

"I agree."

Nicole could practically feel the steam coming out of her ears.

"Maybe I'll go for him...depends."

"Oh what?"

"I dunno....I'll flirt with him first to see if he's interested."

"Since you're a sophomore, he'll prolly go for you."

"Yeah, I know."

"But what if he doesn't?"

"How could he not?" Brooke asked.

"Well, i heard he still likes that one girl."

"No he doesn't. That's why they broke up."

"I hear they still are friends."

"You did?"

"Yup. That can get messy, Brooke."

"I know....but he's so cute, and it would so easy-"

"How do you know?"

Brooke laughed. "It just would. Trust me."

"What about the girl?"

"She's history. I heard she was a little prude anyhow."

"That's not what I heard."

"Oh whatever. I'll get him. You watch."

The two girls giggled, and Nicole smiled to herself. I'll get him...I'll get him...I'll get him... Brooke's words rang in her head. Nicole smiled evily to herself again. Not if I get to him first....

"Okay, i am NEVER doing that again." Katie said as she plopped down on the bench.

"No fun at all?" He asked.

Katie smiled. "Okay, so the time you knocked over the skating attendant was pretty funny." She admitted.

"I thought so too." Zac said, starting to unlace his skates. He looked over to where Nicole was sitting with Adam, as close as she dare.

"Looks like we have a match." Zac commented.

"What?"

"Nicole and Adam."

"Oh, that." katie said with a smile as she tugged her skate off.

Zac watched them for a moment. "Does she really like dirtbikes?" he asked.

Katie smirked at Zac. "Zac, she doesn't know the difference between a scooter and a dirtbike. No she doesn't really like them." Katie said.

"I didn't think so." Zac said, watching the two from across the lobby.

"Yeah." katie agreed.

"Well have to go dirtbiking." Zac said.

"Oh yeah." katie said.

"I promised I would take you out on one. We'll have to do it sometime." He said, putting his boots back on.

Katie smiled. "Sure."
