"Shit!" she exclaimed when the bottom of the box collapsed.
"Having a bad day?" A voice asked.
She looked up to see a boy with dark blonde hair to his shoulders standing about ten feet away. He had radiant blue eyes, and she had to look up to see him. Literally, for he was well over six feet. Christina looked up to ensure that he was talking to her, and looked back at him.
"Uh, yeah." She said, pushing her glasses up her nose.
"Want some help?" He asked.
"Um, no, I got it. This is the last box, she said, shoving the last of the clothes back in the box.
"Okay. Well, see ya around."
She turned and walked quickly to the building and flew up the stairs, surprised that Michelle was gone from the hall. She saw the door wide open, and saw Michelle in the tiny kitchen, dancing around to the radio as she put the food they had away.
"I'm glad to see that you made a friend." Christina said with a small smile.
"Oh, yeah, David, oh Chris, you gotta meet him! Well, I got a date with him on Saturday, so you can meet him then."
"Great." Chris said.
"Oh, come on, Chris, you gotta lighten up! This is college! Party! Meet guys! Have fun! You can't ignore all the hotties that are already here! Come on!" Michelle said, giving Chris's arm a tug. She pulled her over to their small couch, and plopped down with her. Their dorm was fairly small, and had a main bedroom, a bathroom, a TV/dining/living room, and a tiny kitchen.
"Well, I guess." Chris admitted.
"Yeah, well just lighten up. I couldn't wait to get here. I also know that you could. Come one, college is supposed to be fun! But you have to make it fun!"
As she got into bed that night, Christina had a thought flash through her head; maybe Michelle was right. Maybe she should lighten up. Yes, she definitely would. She was going to find that boy, and she was going to talk to him. Yes, she would. You only go through college once, right? Right. Live it up, party, and have fun. Yep. That's just what she would do.
With that, she pulled her sheet up, and dozed off. She was going to change.
