Vittorio Storaro.....

Bertolucci
Concerning "Novecento"... To my knowledge, there has never been an italian version distributed in Quebec... (The same thing goes for the Conformist, which was orignially done in French and Italian, I think, but that only exists dubbed in english...) Bertollucci had originally made a six-hour film which was rarely even screened... For the US release, they broke it down to a mere 2 hours... After many protests it was brought to about 4 or 5 hours... And that's the version that is found on video. I've heard of another version that is, like you say, about 20 minutes longer but I have no idea where you could find it.

A mild and meek school bus driver is the spitting image of a notorious gangster--Johnny Stecchino (``Toothpick''). Bright physical comedy was Italy's most successful film ever at the box office, and director-cowriter-star Benigni has thrown in a wide array of his trademark physical gags.
