Interfaith Voices Against Hunger

Interfaith Voices Against Hunger is a call by Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and other people of faith for action to end hunger. Since 1992 IVAH has been building a religious anti-hunger movement in New York City.

Now available: From Bad to Worse: World Trade Center Attack further accelerates New York City hunger growth, the 2001 Hunger survey from our parent organization, the New York City Coalition Against Hunger. Please see more information at the New York City Coalition Against Hunger website

Thoughts on Hunger and Poverty: themes related to the Jewish calendar

From time to time I will post my essays and collections of sources which you may find of interest. (A new window will open with the essay and/or sources.)

Although I will try to be true to the traditional sources, my essays are intended only to represent my own thoughts on the subjects.

I have tried to give credit where it is due: "From my teachers I have learned much, from my colleagues more, and from my students most of all." (Talmud Bavli, Taanit 7a) I would very much appreciate your feedback or suggestions
