2. You should see an icon of your I.S.P. such as A.O.L. or Prodegy. Ignoring other icons in the box, right click your I.S.P. icon, then from the short cut menu, left click "properties."
3. In the lower box called "connect using," click on "configure."
4. Click on the "connection" tab, then click "advanced."
5. In the second or lowest line there called "extra settings" it should say something like "s10=60" if anything at all is there. You backspace this out and type in "s10=254."
6. Then click "O.K." at the bottom and O.K. your way back out of all the open boxes.
7. You are now all set and should seldom if ever experience those annoying automatic disconnections again.
