Missing The Net

NetDear
Nette My Friend

sitting on distant keyboards
we viewed the same sunrise
watching our emails grow
out of colored pixel light
cyberfriends we thought we
were.

days ago i had your image
preserved in my memory
they're all that's left in me.

fun while it last
a time of connectedness it was
a line of courage we had
midnight companions we were
cyberfriends the net never
had.

days ago i had your pic file
preserved in my website
my angst immortalized.

"emotional fragility"
the last words you said to me.

O! how terribly strange
netfriendship has come to be.

LoveJong

to the heart, SILENCE brings a peculiar ring.

August Postmeridian

blazing the sunny afternoon
knowing love waits by pieces
of chicken bones, no bar
grills defend my cell window,
no ringing sound,
a wrong connection.

in my mind i see us kiss
from distant antennas
worried over a wayward song
than some wasted seconds.

we're in a postmeridian quest
for lips&breasts, stray kisses
find their homes and waiting masters
oblivious to screenlights&cinematicdark.

two among the many who partake
of this underground passion X,
a mulder-scully team
in a postmeridian quest for lips&breasts.

Silence Downplayed

pained souls can only find refuge in silence.

like bloodied butterflies our muddied hearts
seek out for old cocoons; our muttered memories
grappling for the first word in separate litanies:
the meeting of passions, the connection of feelings.

silence encompasses all meanings.

could this silence itself be our shared metamorphosis?
the space we need, the time we wish
for our souls to link?

to catch a wandering byte,
we all should be in time;
to find a lost character,
we must find a home --
the Net, our abode,
is a resounding metaphor!
