"I can't believe I lost!" Nick shouted, sticking out his lower lip.

"Oh c'mon Nick!  You win some, you lose some!  That's just the way it is." I laughed.

Me, Brian, and Nick had been playing Monopoly all afternoon.  So far, we had played 4 games, and Brian had won all of them.  Nick was such a sore loser, and every time he lost, he would sulk for 5 minutes.  It was hilarious. 

"Are you okay now Nicky?" Brian asked, laughing.

"Hmmm, I guess I'm okay.  Let's play one more game, because I really feel lucky this time." he grinned.

"Okay, it's not like we have anything better to do." I mumbled.

"Hey, Nick, go get us some sodas first."

"What?  Me?  This is your house Brian." Nick whined.

"Oh, just go get some sodas!" Brian replied.

"Okay, fine.  I'll be back." he muttered, as he disappeared into the kitchen.

Nick's View

I grabbed some sodas from the refrigerator, and sat down at the kitchen table.  So much had happened over the past year. 

My mind went back to the day that me and Brian had found those 'good-bye' notes from Colleen.  After reading them, we had decided to give her some time away from us.  When we got back to Florida, we didn't bother going to her house… we knew she didn't wanna see us.  We gave her 2 months.  Those 2 months without her was horrible.  Me and Brian missed her so much.  Once we flew to Kentucky, we immediately went to her parents' house, where she was living.  She refused to see us, but we wouldn't give up.  We were there for 1 month, begging her to come back.  We told her that we wanted our third Musketeer back, and that we wouldn't leave until we had her.  Brian and I had decided to back off, and not make her choose between us.  Finally, she gave in. 

As for Brian and me…we're still friends.  Brian was right when he said things were never gonna be the same between us… but we're working on it.  The three Musketeers are back in action…

As for my love life… I'm going out with a wonderful girl named Gwen.  She's the absolute best, and her and Col get along great.  As for being in love with Colleen… she was the first girl I was ever in love with, and that won't be forgotten.  Right now, she's my best friend, and I don't wanna lose her again… Brian feels the same way.  All three of us now wear promise rings.  Three Musketeers is engraved into each ring.  The promise is to never leave each other, and to stay friends until the end… which is what we all intend to do.  Brian is still in love with Col… but he keeps it to himself.  He's single, but me and Colleen are always taking him clubbing, to meet some girls.  I have a feeling B and Col are gonna end up together, but that's just my prediction. 

BSB is still going strong, and we all couldn't be happier.  AJ and Sophia are engaged, which was pretty shocking considering AJ is marriage-shy.  Kevin and Elyse are still going out, and they're very much in love.  It's so funny to see them together… they can't get enough of each other!  Marietta broke up with Howie a few months ago.  We all thought Howie would be happy, but he was depressed for weeks.  He says he did love her, even though he didn't show it.  Weird is all I can say.  Colleen and Sophia are speaking again, even though it took a hell of a long time to get Colleen to forgive her.  Looks like we're all gonna be just fine…

"Nick!  We're waiting for those sodas.  You daydreaming again?" Colleen shouted, from the living room.

"Yep I was just thinking about video games… and Gwen." I lied, giggling.

"Oh I see Mr. Carter.  Are you ready to get your ass kicked in Monopoly?" Brian grinned.

"Nope!  I'm gonna beat ya'll.  Let's play!" I replied…

Around this time, a year ago… me, Brian, and Colleen, were three worlds apart… but now,  things couldn't be better, and we've learned that true friendship, can withstand all the hardships of everyday life.
