Disclaimer: This is pure fiction. I do not know the BSB's, I don't know their friends, and I am definitely not one of 'em. If I were, someone's wife should be worried. I'm just a fan, who just happens to not have much of a life.
Pairing: Nick/Brian
Rating: NC-17 all the way !!!
Summary: Nick and Brian takes refuge in an abandoned cabin during a snowstorm and does what they can to keep warm.
Notes: Alright, smut. Bigtime too. Hope you enjoy. I thought this one up during Algebra class (what? I was bored alright). Please review. Oh, and I hope you don't have problems with food in rather strange places. Not that it's too bad....You'll be able to eat afterwards, I promise.

The snow hit him hard in the face. He could hardly see anything, and he knew that they needed to get inside fast. He was getting so cold, and from the little he could see of Nick's face so was he. His lips was already turning blue.
His eyes searched in the storm. There was supposed to be an abandoned cabin around here somewhere, if the stupid map he had lost a few miles back was right *was it that much or did it just seem like it* His heart almost skipped a beat when he saw something that resembled wood. He tugged at Nick and they walked in that direction.
The door was stuck, but when they both put their weight on it they managed to get it open enough to get inside. They slammed it shut, glad to be out of the blistering cold.
Brian looked at Nick again. He had been right. The young blondes lips were blue, and his face showed signs of frostbite. Nick looked at him, smiling.
"Your lips are blue" he says worried. For the first time Brian notices that Nick is right. He can feel the cold, and knows that he must be looking as bad as Nick.
"So are yours Nick. We need to get some heat in here" he replies with one of his trademark grins. They need to be positive and think happy thoughts. This storm can't last forever.
"I'll check the bedrooms for some blankets. Could you try the fireplace. I'm bad at that sort of thing" Nick says, and walks towards some rooms he assumes are the bedrooms.
Brian walks over to the fireplace and starts to work on the fire.
Nick glances at Brian sitting by the fireplace, trying to make it warm in here. He smiles. Brian was keeping the spirit up, making sure that he was ok, always acting like everything was gonna be ok.
This little trip of theirs was all about that, making him feel better.
The other guys was back at the hotel, probably worried sick about them. Brian had wanted to cheer Nick up, and had suggested a little hiking trip in the mountains, just for the two of them. They were after all best friends, and this would give them room and time to talk.
The others had thought it was a great idea, and helped plan the whole thing. They all wanted Nick to feel better. They knew that it was vital for the group to get his spirit up. He'd been on the verge of giving it all up these last couple of days. Of course, being around the three others didn't make it any better. Nick had needed Brian, his best friend.
The reason he was so depressed?
He'd been dumped.
Now it wasn't the dumped part that had made him feel that it wasn't worth it anymore. Not really.
He'd had his heart broken, and made a huge mistake. One that he and Brian had to talk about.
It had started about four months ago, when he met Shane. He had fallen completely. He'd known for years that he was gay, maybe Bi. He did like girls, but it was guys that attracted him the most. Shane had been everything he wanted.
Tall, dark and oh so handsome. Brown eyes, black hair, slightly dark skin. A true beauty. They'd met in a bar, and Shane had been quite the flirter. The other guy's had of course noticed the flirting, and the fact that Nick had seemed interested in this man. So they had invited him to come over to AJ's house the next day.
After that it was pretty much history. They started dating, he'd come out in the public about it. Everything had seemed fine. His fans had understood, he got a lot of positive press. He's felt like he was in heaven.
Until Shane broke his heart. He was getting tired of Nick and moved on, leaving him behind with a broken heart.
Now that alone he could get over, in time. It was what he had done the following night he had problems dealing with.
Brian had come over to try to calm him down. They had been talking for hours, about anything. A lot of it was about how to get over a broken heart. Then there was talks about beautiful women *do still like them, must be bi then* , and men of course.
Even now he couldn't understand why he had though it was ok to do what he had done. It may have been the way Brian looked at him, or the way he smelled. He didn't know, but something had driven him to do it. Maybe tonight Brian and him would figure out what.
Suddenly he had just felt the urge to kiss Brian, rather violently.
Brian hadn't had a chance to get away, he had held him so tight, as if he was afraid he was going to get away.
Thank God nothing else had happened. He had realized what he was doing and let Brian go. Brian had ran out of the room, not even saying a word to Nick.
The next day his lips had a small bruise on them, and his left cheek had a blue mark the size of Nick's finger.
Of course he had told the others. They had tried to talk to Nick about it, but he had shut himself in. He rarely talked to them, and Brian would never be in a room alone with him so that they could work it out.
Then he had suggested this trip and Nick had agreed. They needed time to work it out if things were ever going to get back to normal.
Brian looked up as Nick walked back into the living room with a couple of blankets.
"The roof has caved and the entire place is wet. These are the only dry things in this place. No food, nothing. We do have some cups though, so I've collected some snow. When it melts we'll have water" Nick says, handing Brian the blankets, putting the two cups on what used to be a table.
"Well, I got a fire started here, so soon it'll be nice and warm, I hope. I've collected some more wood we can burn later. I just hope this storm won't last forever" he says, putting the smallest blanket on the floor. The two couch was wet, so they had to sit on the floor.
"Sit down Nick. Your lips are still blue. We need to get our body heat up fast" he says, motioning for Nick to sit down next to him. Nick lifts the cups and sits down next to Brian, handing him one of them, putting the other down next to himself. Brian gives him one of the blankets and helps him tuck it around himself. Then he puts the other one around his own body.
"So, is this a good time to talk?" he asks Nick.
"As good as any I guess" Nick replies. He doesn't wanna talk about this, but he knows that it is now or never.
"Why Nick?" Brian says, looking him straight into the eyes.
"Why did I kiss you you mean?" he asks.
"Yeah. Why did you kiss me like that. You must have known I would pull away, you were holding me so hard. Didn't you understand that you were hurting me?"
"I..I don't know why I did it. I was hurt, needed someone"
"But you can't force someone Nick. It's not right"
"I know. But I.."
"You what?" Brian asks, his voice sounding harsh. He hadn't intended it to sound so harsh, so accusing. As if Nick was on trial for something. All he wanted was for Nick to tell him why he had kissed him. Why him and not one of the others? Would it even had mattered? Was it just because he had been there. If it had been AJ in the room would he have kissed him ins... He needed answers, and he needed them now.
"Brian I.." Nick started, not sure what to say. How could he tell Brian that he only kissed him because he wanted to. That it had nothing to do with Shane, that he had felt like Brian had wanted it. That something in the way Brian had been looking at him had told him that he wanted Nick to kiss him. That sounded like complete madness and he knew it. But he had no other explanation than that. Maybe he could tell parts of the truth. The whole truth would be too much.
"Just tell me Nick" Brian says, his voice a bit less harsh. He couldn't be too tough on Nick. He just wanted to know. *why do you wanna know Brian? Is it because you want to know if he likes you. Is it because you want to see if he wanted to kiss you as much as you wanted to kiss him that night?* He pushed back his thoughts. They were starting to annoy him now. They were too close to the truth.
"I didn't kiss you because of Shane. I guess I wasn't all that heartbroken after all. I kissed you because I wanted to Brian. I've wanted to kiss you for so long you have no idea. I'm sorry I was so forceful. Maybe I was afraid you would pull away, tell me how much you hated me. For that would have broken me completely. So I held on. I'm so sorry Brian. I never meant to hurt you like this. Never meant for it to hurt the group like this. I'm sorry. Can you please forgive me. I promise never to do it again. I'll stay away from you. I'll do whatever it takes, but please, don't shut me out. I need you Brian. You're my best friend."
Brian swallowed and smiled to Nick. He hadn't expected this. Inside of him he could feel his hear beating faster. He couldn't remember a time when he had felt so happy. Nick had kissed him because he wanted to. Not because he was there, not because it was convenient. Because he was Brian.
Nick looked at him confused. Brian was smiling at him. He was supposed to freak out, react in any way. Run away, scream, anything but this. He could never tell what was on Brian's mind when he smiled like this, never tell what he would do next. At least with a scream he would have known.
"Nick" Brian said with a smile. He knew that he should not do this, smile at him this way. Nick hated it when he couldn't tell what he would do next. And this was not the time to play games. This was supposed to be serious. He was supposed to be serious. He tried to get it right, but just cracked up laughing.
Nick looked even more confused now. Why was Brian laughing at him? Sometimes he just didn't get his best friend.
"I promise I'll never do it again" he said once more, and got up to leave. Brian hadn't said that he forgave him, and this could be his way of dealing with it, his way of screaming.
Brian saw Nick start to leave and realized that he had completely ignored his plea for forgiveness. Nick had felt so bad, and he hadn't even once let Nick know what he felt about it, that it was alright.
He got up from the blanket and grabbed Nick's arm, turning the blonde around. Nick spun around, standing just inches away from his own body. Brian looked up at him, still holding on to his arm, as if he was afraid that Nick would run away from him.
"Where do you think you're going?" he said, looking straight into those blue eyes.
"J..Just check if there's and...eh..food" Nick said, looking intensively at his mouth. Nick swallowed, licking his lip, then turned his face half away.
Brian knew what Nick was thinking , knew that the blonde was struggling not to kiss him again. Nick had made a promise, one he was doing everything he could to keep.
"You already checked" Brian said, smiling up at him, stepping closer. They were a mere inch apart, and his hand went up, stroking Nick's left shoulder.
Nick looked even more away, stepping back, trying to get away from the temptation. Brian knew that Nick would keep thing up. The blonde probably thought he was making sure Nick would stay away from him or something.
"Nick, look at me" Brian said. His heart skipped a beat as Nick did just that. He knew that it was now or never. He slowly brought his mouth close to Nick's, kissing him so gently, not wanting Nick to panic.
