WAN Requirements

WAN will connect all school sites to the district office and will include: -

Ø      Three regional hubs to be implemented at the District Office/ Data Centre, the Service Centre and Shaw Butte School

Ø      Powerful high-end routers to be installed at each WAN location

Ø      Access to the Internet will be provided by the District Office / Data Centre through a Frame Relay WAN link

Ø      Internet connectivity shall be controlled by the District Office router for reasons of security

Ø      TCP/IP and Novell IPX to be the protocols for the WAN

Ø      WAN is capable of 100%  growth for next 7-10 years
