*~ Waking Up In His Arms ~*
"But I can't think of a better way I'd like to spend the day"
The sun was just starting to rise in the sky, a dim grey shifting across the neighborhood when Justin's cab pulled up to his house. Climbing out tiredly, bag slung over his shoulder, he thanked the driver and made his way to the front door.
A smile hit his lips the moment it was opened when he saw JC's shoes laying on the ground. He'd hoped JC would be here, even though he had his own house just a few miles down the road. Justin knew that when JC missed him the most, he slept at Justin's house, curled up in Justin's bed. If he hadn't been there, Justin was going to get in his car and drive to JC's house anyway, but JC had saved him the trip.
When he pushed the bedroom door open to see JC curled up with Justin's pillow held tightly to his chest, he couldn't help the soft smile that spread across his face. It was the smile that was reserved for JC alone. It was soft and tender and full of everything he felt for JC.
Slipping his shirt and pants off, he tossed them over the chair in the corner and moved to the side of the bed. Letting his fingers trail softly over JC's bare shoulder, he caressed the skin gently and couldn't resist leaning down to press his lips against the warm skin. This was the man that had seen him grow from just a child to the man he was today. This man had seen him at his best and at his very worst and was there for him through it all. This man had helped him through the tough times and reveled in his glories right along with him. There wasn't a part of Justin that didn't feel something so deep for JC. They were connected on a level beyond anything he could put into words.
And then, beyond all that, JC loved him, was in love with him. JC cherished what they shared, held it dear to his heart. And Justin couldn't ask for anything more.
Sliding under the covers, he slid up close to JC's back, letting his arm fall around JC's curled up body, holding him close, protectively. His lips fell to JC's shoulder again, roaming across his skin, reveling in the taste and feel of JC next to him. Shifting, he leaned on one elbow, moving as close as possible and licked softly at the base of JC's neck. JC's curls tickled his nose and he smiled into them before letting his lips fall against JC's ear.
"Baby." It was a soft whisper, barely audible. But it was enough to send a full body shiver through JC. Justin smiled as he hugged him closer to his own chest. "C, babe. Wake up." JC stretched, uncurling but shifting closer to Justin in the process, his back flush against Justin's chest.
"Mmm." His head turned and eyes full of sleep and smiles opened to connect with Justin's own eyes. "You're home." It was a mumbled statement, almost lost behind a yawn. But Justin had heard and seen JC wake up enough times to understand his morning dialect. "What are you doing home?"
"I missed you. I have to go back tonight but I wanted to be with you for awhile." JC snuggled back deeper into Justin's warm embrace.
"You flew," he paused, his sleep filled mind doing the math from New York to LA. "Five hours just to spend a few with me just to fly five more to get back?"
"Course I did." Justin tightened his arms around JC, hugging him close for a moment before relaxing again. "I wanted to fall asleep with my arms around you, even if it's only for a few hours." The smile that lit up JC's face, made his eyes crinkle up happily, made the ten hours on a plane worth every moment. Justin smiled back and leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to JC's temple. His fingers slid across the bare skin of JC's stomach. He could feel JC's stomach muscles flutter under his fingers as JC shifted to his back, wrapping his arms around Justin and pulling him closer, half on top of him. Their lips met in a soft kiss, JC's tongue lapping lightly at Justin's bottom lip. Their bodies conveyed everything they hadn't been able to convey physically to each other in two weeks, shifting toward and with each other. It was unconscious, something that happened without them even being aware of it.
Justin knew that for a long time now, years even before they became a couple, he'd been shifting toward JC. He'd first seen JC as a hero of sorts, someone to look up to and try to emulate. Then as a friend. He'd seen a part of JC that called to him, and Justin had yearned for it, wanted it, knew that there would never be anyone else for him. And finally after years of yearning, JC had seen something in him, had started shifting back. Now it happened naturally, no matter how far apart they were from each other.
Justin's lips opened under JC's soft tongue, pulling it inside to caress with his own. His hands found JC's hips, thumbs brushing along the bone and causing shivers to run the length of JC's body. He pulled back and grinned down at JC, fingers running across the sensitive hip bone again, loving being able to see JC's reaction to that. JC's head fell back against the pillows and a low moan escaped his throat. And Justin couldn't help it when his lips fell to the soft skin at JC's collarbone, sucking hard. JC's hands slid into his hair, fingers grabbing hold as Justin brought the blood rushing to the surface of JC's skin, leaving a dark mark shimmering in the fading darkness of the bedroom. Their lips met again hungrily, urgently, tongues dueling passionately.
For a long time, Justin wasn't even sure how long, they kissed and caressed, held each other close and built each other up. Time was lost between them as the room slowly filled with bright sunlight. All that mattered, all that was there were the two of them, lost in an abyss of touch and taste, sight and sound. Lost in love.
Finally pulling back, Justin smiled down at JC, blue eyes glimmering happily. Shifting, he slid his body weight off JC and pulled him close again, wrapping him in his arms. JC kissed him once more, softly this time, before snuggling down against his chest, head pressed under Justin's chin.
"I can't wait to fall asleep so I can wake up with you here next to me." Justin smiled and hugged JC closer to him, lips falling to JC's curly hair, whispered words floating across the silent room.
"I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be or anything else I'd rather be doing than just that, baby."
