*~ Miami Heat - Chapter Eight ~*

JC stared at Justin in disbelief for a few moments, words completely escaping him. Finally he reached for Justin and pulled him back into his arms into a tight hug.

“J, you’ve had me impressed since the moment I met you. The moment you stepped onto the MMC set, I knew there was just something about you. Something big. And you’ve been impressing me everyday since then. You’re an incredible performer. You just have this presence when you’re out there. You light up the stage like no one else I know. Your singing and dancing are impeccable. But beyond all that, you’re an incredible person. I’ve known you for almost half of your life. When I met you, you were just a kid. And now you’ve grown into this man that never ceases to amaze me. You are one of the most caring and compassionate people I know. You have this joy for life that seems to be lost on a lot of people today. You’ve impressed me in so many ways throughout the time I’ve known you.” JC pulled lightly on Justin’s arm, bringing him up to sit next to JC on the couch. “I appreciate the gesture, but you’ve had me impressed for years, J.”

“I guess it was pretty stupid, huh?”

“No, not stupid. It was actually very sweet, and kind of romantic. It’s like I had an album recorded especially for me. Unfortunately, we seemed to lack the communication skills necessary to convey all this to each other a year ago.”

“I’m glad we talked, Josh. I’m glad we got all that out and behind us. Now maybe we can move on and actually be friends again.” Justin let his head rest on JC’s shoulder until he felt JC shake his head slightly. Justin picked his head up and looked at JC curiously. After everything they had just said, everything they had just gotten out there, and JC didn’t want to be friends again?

“We seem to have not talked about the most important little bit of information from this conversation.” JC said, smiling. Justin creased his eyebrows together. He had no idea what JC was talking about. What hadn’t they discussed? “I seem to remember hearing you say you loved me. That you’re in love with me.” Justin dropped his head again, averting his eyes from JC’s heated gaze. A slight blush hit his cheeks. He could feel the heat on his skin. JC reached a hand out, his fingers grazing Justin’s chin as he gently tilted his head back to face him. “You’re cute when you blush. Have I ever told you that?”

“No.” It was a soft whisper and all Justin knew he could manage at the moment. There was a look in JC’s eyes that he’d never seen before. It was soft, slightly amused, and definitely something beyond friendship.

“I love you too, Justin. I have for years. Longer than I should probably admit that I did. But I love you. I’m in love with you.” JC moved his head closer to Justin and Justin felt dizzy with desire. He focused on JC’s lips, moving slowly toward his own. The feeling of knowing it was coming, knowing the truth was out there and what was to come made him slightly breathless. “And I want to be with you.” JC’s lips met his own, soft and gentle, just a simple press of lips against lips. “And I want to be able to kiss you whenever I want.” Another kiss. “I want to hold you tightly at night. I want to be able to call you mine, and say that I’m yours.” Each sentence was followed by a soft press of lips and all Justin could do was comply. “I want to make love to you, often.” Finally, JC crashed his lips into Justin’s hungrily, sucking Justin’s bottom lip between his own, letting his tongue slip out and press into Justin’s waiting mouth. It was hot, and sexy, and full of a desire that had been there between them for years.

When they finally pulled apart, they were both breathless.

“Well...um...damn. Can’t say I was expecting that to happen when I came in here to talk to you.” A smile played around the corners of Justin’s mouth. “Not that I’m complaining at all, cause that was just hot.” JC leaned into him, letting his lips fall against Justin’s ear.

“Don’t you worry. I’ll make it hotter tonight. After I get back from the club.” With that, he stood up and strolled into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. Justin sat there, his jaw dropped, his eyes wide with shock. Had he? Did he really just...? Yes, he really had just climbed to his feet and left Justin all hot and completely turned on. And with promises of later, no less. Justin vowed to himself he would make JC pay for that later. But as he sat there thinking about later, a smile of completely contentment spread across his face.

They were back on track. They had finally gotten everything out in the open. They had finally talked about everything that had happened this past year. And they were finally giving in to the desire that had been between them for years. The thought that he not only had his best friend back, but that he also now had the man he was in love with, with him, made Justin happier than he’d been in a very long time. Yes, it was going to be a good night. And a great life from now on. He swore he’d never again let something like miscommunication come between them. He couldn’t handle another year without JC, so he wouldn’t let it happen. Ever.
