- I love that I get to wake up and sing and dance. That's awesome. Or I get to wake up and devote more time to writing and playing guitar, things like that I really like doing. The worst part is that I'm away from my family and friends so much. It's a sacrifice that I have chosen to give up for right now.
- When I go to Orlando, the first thing I do is sit down the first night and watch a basketball game or something or run errands around town. And when I go home, the first thing I do is call all my friends, have everyone come over on the first night I'm home to hang out, play pool, play cards. I throw one of those kid of shindigs.

- My favorite part is being able to perform right now, live performing right now And getting a little time in the studio, because writing and performing is important. Right now, it's kind of limited because we're so busy. The worst part is I'm very impatient. I want everything now. I want to be able to do things onstage now that we have to wait for. I also think one bad part is being away from my family, my brother, my sister, my girlfriend. That close group of friends and family that you have back home.

I played water polo and was in Ensemble, a traveling singing and dancing group, but I wasn't really in a clique. I had a group of friends that I've known since I was 11. I never got into big trouble, but just enough. Like, McDonald's had 39-cent cheeseburgers on Wednesdays, so I'd sneak out and buy 50 cheeseburgers and sell them at school for a dollar each. Eventually I'd get caught and get a referral.
I had dreadlocks in high school, too, and sometimes I'd take them out and my hair would be in a big 'fro. I'd walk around with a pick in the front of it just for fun. I did a retro look, too, and wore two-tone white and black shoes. Then one year I wore nothing but flip-flops, white Hanes T-shirts, and shorts. People would laugh at me but it was fun trying to pull off all these looks.

Z100's Jingle Ball
O-Town closed the show with a sampling of their teen dream ditties: "Liquid Dreams," "Love Should Be a Crime" and the sugary "All or Nothing." For one of the male youngsters in the crowd, the answer was obviously "nothing" — at least from the waist up. He ripped his T-shirt to shreds, much like wrestling star Hulk Hogan does, revealing his bird chest to his female companion.
SUPERHERO SPELLBOUND
Its not a bird. Its not a plane. Its Ashley Parker Angel? Well, sort of. Have you ever wondered why this O-Town honey is obsessed with the man of steel? Not only is Superman his favorite movie, but he openly admits to having had a major crush on Teri Hatcher, who played Lois Lane on the TV series. "Ive never met her," Ashley gushes. But we knew there had to be more to this story than Ash was letting on, especially since the 20-year-old's bedroom is decorated in royal blue and bright red. He also has a humungous Superman shield on his wall that Christopher Reeve actually wore in the flick. "Okay. Okay. Ever since I watched Superman the movie when I was five, I wanted to be him," Ashley says, smirking a little. "I used to have a pajama suit with a red cape that I used to sleep in every night. At one point, I jumped off my roof because I thought I could fly. I'm still that gullible. I love Superman!"
Poptalk!
"Poptalk! crashed Lou Perlman's private b'day party at The Groove in Orlando...where a hilarious spoof of Making the Band was put together by Trans Con employees and projected on video screens to amuse the guests. Happy Birthday Lou."
Star Woes: Trevor Penick
We had this powder-puff footboll in high school: The girls played and the guys were cheerleaders. One day we were rehearsing cheerleading moves and the real cheerleaders walked by. Of course, we all thought we were the s--t. So we did a cheer and afterward I tried to do a kick. I kicked my right leg so high that my left leg came out from underneath me and I fell. All of the girls were laughing.
Jacob Underwood: Class Individualist
Jacob Underwood is O-Town's most individual member, and he was the same at Valhalla HS. Teacher Steve Montgomery wasn't surprised when his pupil turned up on television. "I always remember him talking about how much he liked Michael Jackson, which I thought was interesting, because it wasn't cool among his peers," Steve tells J-14. "But Jacob didn't care. He kept reminding everyone that his interest was in music, and Michael was a great songwriter, performer and dancer." Steve saw that Jacob was special from the start. "Jacob just shined," he says. "He had this enthusiasm for all things creative. We're all very proud of him."
The Making of Jacob Underwood
I used to try and talk my mom into letting me leave high school to get an internship at a recording studio or go to music school. I transferred from Christian High School in San Diego to Valhalla High School after my freshman year because they had a good music department. I did well in my classes. I was the kind of kid who got a 4.0 in the first semester so I could slack off during the second.
First Kiss
I was lifeguarding at a water park when I was 16 and met this girl. I had noticed that everyday she sunbathed right by me. Finally we started hanging out and then we kissed. She was from out of town, and eventually we lost track of each other. Still, I always remember how wonderful her kisses were.
