TORONTO -- Trevor Penick and Dan Miller are two of the O-Town boys made famous by ABC's reality show "Making The Band". Their first album, "O-Town", is a major hit and new episodes of their show are scheduled to begin in March.

AllPop sat down with Dan and Trevor recently to talk about the hard part of being famous -- and the fun part of spring break.

AllPop: Is it getting harder to maintain your personal lives now because of your fame, or are you starting getting used to it?

Trevor: It's so much harder. I mean, personal lives do not exist anymore. It's really, really, really hard. We thought it was hard last season when we had so much time off. Now we're busy every day, from the moment we wake up to the minute we go to bed.

Dan: We all know that we need personal lives, but we figure if we take care of our business right now and do what we're supposed to do, hopefully, over years, we'll have a little bit more money and a lot more time to have the freedom to do whatever we want.

AllPop: Are your families and girlfriends willing to wait?

Trevor: I don't have a girlfriend. I'm sure if I had one she'd wait around.

Dan: The girlfriend thing is tough. I recently broke up with my girlfriend just because at the point we're at right now, I'm not really being that good of a boyfriend. I'm not doing anything bad, I'm just not there. I can't mentally be there.

AllPop: What kind of girl are you looking for?

Trevor: Confidence, free spirit, someone who's really strong as a person, not jealous. She's gotta love to dance, get your groove on, you've got to have good family values, got to love kids, 'cause I love kids.

Dan: Sounds good.

Trevor: Me and Dan are looking for the same girl!

AllPop: Is it hard to be separated from your families?

Trevor: What sucks about friends and family at home is that this was an audition, and when we left as the eight of us to go move into the house, I didn't say goodbye to everyone. I was just leaving to finish this audition for six weeks. Little did I know that if I made it, I was only going to have three or four days at home. So we made the band, the show was done taping, we got four days off, and we still didn't really say goodbye. Then from that day until now, we haven't been home for more than three days.

Dan: It was even worse for me. I was at school, I wasn't even near any of my friends from home. I got the call Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning I was gone and I haven't been back for any length of time at all.

At this point, Trevor and Dan were starting to get a bit depressed with all the talk of missing home so we decided to chat with them about spring break.

AllPop: What would be the best place to go to for spring break, of the places you've been to or want to go to?

Dan: Let me just say that we were just in the Bahamas, and that's nice! We gambled in the Bahamas, that was fun. None of us are compulsive gamblers, though.

Trevor: Cancun was Woooooeeee! Remember how phat that whole hotel area was?

Dan: Cancun was more of a party place.

Trevor: But that's what I'm talking about.

Dan: But I'm looking for a place more relaxing, that you could just lay somewhere.

Trevor: I think a cruise would be cool, too.

Dan: But a relaxing cruise! We went on a cruise but we worked the whole time, taking pictures in the hot sun. I don't wanna be taking pictures, I want to be in the pool!

AllPop: What's your favourite spring break song?

Trevor: I have a song that reminds me of the last spring break I went on in Saint Phillipe . It reminds me of all the fraternity brothers chillin' - "Better Off Alone", Alice Deejay.

Dan: All the reggae stuff.

AllPop: Are there any good spring break songs on your album?

Dan: "Girl". It's just got that groove to it. You could throw it on in the background.

Trevor: As much as I wouldn't want to say it, "All For Love" is kinda like that too. (Trevor says he's a bit sick of that song).

AllPop: Which is better: a romantic spring break or a party-filled week?

Dan: Romantic.

Trevor: It depends on what kind of mood you're in. Like, if I had a girlfriend for like two years, I'd want to go with the boys. But if I'm just starting fresh on a relationship, I'm gonna want to go with her. But for me, I've never really had a girlfriend for that amount of time, so definitely with the boys ... partying!

Dan: I'm more of the romantic kind. I've definitely got boys and I'd definitely hang with them, but I think I'd have a lot more fun if it was a romantic one. Where I could be smooth and take walks on the beach and stuff.

Trevor: But if you go with your boys, you get like that fling for the week. Flings are awesome.

Dan: I don't fling very much. I'm not a flinger.

Trevor: Spring flings are awesome.

Dan: Or... you could go on a vacation with your girl and your boys.

Trevor: Then you can't make them both happy.

Dan: I think you can.

Trevor: You can't.

AllPop: What's your favourite spring break memory from your childhood?

Trevor: It was called Easter break. My whole thing was looking forward to Easter, 'cause my family used to have these real huge egg hunts and they'd put money in some of the eggs and that's all I would look forward to.

Dan: I remember over spring break I used to be upset 'cause I used to have to go to religion classes on Saturdays. It was spring break and we were off school but we had to get up early. It's not really a good memory.

AllPop: Did you ever get into trouble over your break?

Dan: No, not me. I'm a very by-the-books kind of guy.

Trevor: Nooo ... I did some crazy things on spring break. One time [two years ago with his friends], me and my boys ran up and down the hotel hall in leopard print G-strings.

AllPop: Will you get a spring break this year?

Trevor & Dan: HA HA HA HA HA HA! [We think that means no].
