Elise & JC-Chapter Six
I headed to the swimming pool, where the girls were all waiting with their bags.
“So, why don’t we swim, then hit the beach, and maybe get a massage,” Britney suggested. I could go for that. We all nodded. I stepped on the steps that lead you into the water but quickly stepped back, and fell onto a beach chair, just as Kelly jumped and splashed me and the other girls, who were on beach chairs, applying suntan lotion.
“Kelly! You PAY for that!” we all screamed in perfect harmony. She had gotten us all wet…and messed up our lotion we had just applied. They were fuming. We dived in after her, after we finished applying suntan.
She laughed, and raced ahead, her strokes strong and smooth. By the time we reached her, I was all out of breath. We reached her, and she burst out laughing. We didn’t find that so funny.
“What?” Britney said, touching her hair self-consciously. Kelly laughed harder. And harder. What was her problem!
“KELLY! WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG?!” I screamed. The people around us stared.
“You REALLY wanna know?” she said. We nodded our heads furiously. “Well, remember you said that if the guys followed us that they would be stalking us?” I nodded meekly, having a feeling of what was coming up next, “Well…it’s true. There they are. My Chrissie-Wissie too.”
“Yeah right, more like Chrissie-the-Sissy,” Britney muttered under her breath so only us could hear it. We burst into a fit of giggles, which made me choke in the water. Then reality hit me: They were here. They WERE stalking me!!! I headed out of the pool, Kelly, Britney, Natasha, and Michelle following. The guys saw us, but were quickly mobbed by a bunch of girls. Some girl shouted very loudly, “Is it true, JC? Did you break up with your long time girlfriend, Elise or as her real name goes, Elisa Bailey?” It was a news reporter. I saw the Michelle, Kelly, Britney, and Natasha stare at me. They said, “Are you okay? Do you wanna go home?” with their eyes. I shook my head no. Britney pulled my arm, but I shook it off.
“I wanna see what JC says,” I whispered to them. They all nodded and listened closely. Finally a path cleared, and I saw JC at the same moment he saw me. I gulped. He just stared at me and then quickly turned his head.
“No. I’m afraid you have the wrong idea. Me and Elise are fine. We’re very happy, and there is nothing going on between us—that’s bad anyway.” He replied.
“When is your new tour starting?” the reported asked. I sighed. He let the subject go!
