Elise & JC-Chapter Two
“We’ll see you guys tonight, okay? Remember! Be ready!” all the guys groaned at JC’s comment, but nodded anyway.
“Nice seeing ya again, Elise,” Justin said.
“You too, see ya!” I said. The guys rushed down the hall to their own rooms. JC gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and said something about ‘taking a shower’.
I kept repeating the sight of Joey, tripping over Justin and falling flat on his face on the carpet in my mind. I laughed out loud.
I slammed the door shut and sat on the bed. I sighed as my head hit the pillow. I was still tired from the trip from California. I knew that I shouldn’t have slept, but I couldn’t help it. The last sounds I heard were JC in the bathroom, taking a shower. Pretty soon I was in Dreamland. But soon, my “dreams” would become my worst enemy.
“Munchkins, get up, we’ll be late for dinner,” I saw the faint outline of JC sitting on the bed, beside me.
“Huh?” I said, groggily. He smiled at me and kissed my cheek.
“C’mon, go take a shower. We gotta meet the guys in an hour to go out for dinner!” He paused and smiled again, “Wanna come?”
“No.”
“WHAT?” he exclaimed in mock horror.
“Yup. I don’t wanna go.” I said, putting on my most serious face, trying not to grin.
“You ARE kidding,” he said, “Right?”
“Yeah, I am,” I said, finally cracking up. His face washed over with relief. He laughed with me. For just a few minutes we were rolling over the bed, laughing our heads off. Finally, I got up and headed to the bathroom. He followed.
“Hey! No looking!” I laughed.
“Okay, okay, I’ll be in the vending machines. When you’re done, come to floor 5 and go to the machine. I cost 80 cents, you know. I’m really expensive!” he joked, “Are you sure that you can afford me?” I laughed and socked him in the shoulder. He fell onto the bed and played dead. I laughed and went into the bathroom, and locked the door.
The warm water felt so good against my back. Mmm…. I could stay in there forever. Of course, I couldn’t. A few minutes later, I stepped out of the shower, with a towel wrapped around me. Apparently, JC had gone out. Oh well, he would come back. I quickly changed. JC had said this was a formal dinner, right? I looked into my drawers, which JC had neatly folded and put away everything. I smiled and picked out a black skirt that had a slit up the side, and a light blue halter-top. I put my hair up into a French twist, and put on some chunky black sandals. I looked in the mirror, at my reflection. Not bad, I thought. Just as I was getting my makeup bag out, JC came in. He whistled.
“Looking good!” he said. I socked him in the shoulder again, and told him to wash his face and get ready. He took his stuff, and went into the bathroom. I put on a little bit of apple lip shine from Victoria’s Secret, and put on some blush and eye shadow. I looked good, I decided, and knocked on the bathroom door. JC came out a minute later, wearing a black tux. He looked adorable.
“Hey, you look so cute!” I said. He blushed.
“You too, okay, ready to go?” I nodded. He took my hand, and we walked outside into the hallway, arm in arm. We took the elevator to the 2nd floor, where the dinner was going to be held.
