Sightings
IMPORTANT: Most of the sightings that are
posted on this site come direct from the Bee Gees Miami based fans. For
fans like myself, we rely on these kind, giving and devoted people to pass
on the latest information, and keep us informed on the things we fans most
need.... Answers to our most Important questions!
There are two fans in particular, who I would like to thank the
most. Diana Hesse - Founder and moderator of the RingsAroundTheMoon mailing list and Georgette Hodson (Flowing
Rivers Website, and moderator of several mailing lists). These two fans spend their time, and their money to give us fans what we want.

Gee and I went to the studio
today and the brothers were all there. I gave Barry the check for the AGMF.
He seemed genuinely happy that so many of us remembered Andy in this
special way. He said "Oh, thank you Love" and looked at the
card. His manager, Carol Peters was on the porch also and she took the
card and the check (for $805.00) from him and told him she would take care of
it. I think she was worried that he might misplace it. Barry had on
some funny looking reddish-pink sunglasses, black pants, navy knit shirt and
either black jacket or black sweater - can't remember. Mo was dressed as
he usually is - all black, black hat. When he left, he had on some small
reading glasses that I've never seen him wear before. I can't remember
what Robin had on but his hair looked lighter than last time. I did get
just a few pics before my camera batteries went down so when I get the pics
downloaded, I'll send them to the list so you can see them.
They all seemed in very good moods. They were there for some interviews.
I know one was for Much More Music - Canada. Some other people came later
in a stretch limo but I don't know who they were.
I asked Barry why he said "Kiss my @ss" at the beginning of
Technicolor Dreams. He died laughing and said he wondered if anybody was
going to notice that. So I asked again why he said it and he said it was a
British term (like it wasn't American too) and that he just did it to be funny.
I asked about the other little phrase before it that I could never
understand and he said it was him saying "Quiet around the room."
He said it was just for the humor and he seemed to get a kick out of
talking about it.
I think that's about it for today. We told them that we loved the CD and
hoped to see them in New York. They all looked healthy and happy! I'll
work on the pics now.

A day in the life of a Miami
Fan!
It is easy to dismiss how much the Miami fans contribute to sharing info with
us. We may sometimes forget just how much time it takes and all the
behind the scenes things that go on to get this information to us greedy fans.
The following is fictional, but was inspired by the hard work
and devotion of some of our Miami based fans!
- After waking, a Miami fan
must prepare for the day. She goes about her motherly duties as every mother
does. Cooking breakfast for her husband and children, tiding the house and
preparing the children for school. After a quick peak at the Bee Gees mailing
list, she whizzes the children off to school. Upon returning, she takes
another quick peak at her mailing list (giggling as she reads some posts)
before giving the house a quick clean.
- Today is a special day,
as some fans from Texas are coming to town for 2 days, to visit the Middle
Ear studio and hopefully spot the brothers, Barry, Robin and
Maurice. The Miami fan, has agreed to meet the Texas fans. She picks
them up at the bus station and thus the Gibbing adventure has begun! On the
car trip home they talk, and talk, and sing Bee Gees songs. (Well they
wouldn't be singing any Beatles songs now, would they?! ) Upon entering the
Miami fan's home, the Texans are greeted with a Bee Gees video playing in the
living room. The Miami fans always know how to keep the mood alive! A quick
cup of tea and a car trip later, they arrive at the Middle Ear studios. Today
they are lucky as Maurice pulls up in his brand spankin' new Aston Martin.
The Miami fan encourages the Texans (who at this point are nearly passing out
from excitement) to approach Maurice as he emerges from his car. After
the introductions the autographs commence. The Miami fan takes out her trusty
camera and snaps some pictures of the fans with Mo. Oh look! Robin has
arrived. Again, the pictures and signings take place. They sit down and wait
for Barry to arrive. John Merchant arrives and tells the girls that Barry
won't be in today, but may be in tomorrow. Oh well! They decide to grab a
bite to eat at THE famous Diner from the size album before parting
ways.
- The Miami fan has
to race across town to pick up her children from school, pay some bills, grab
a few groceries and develop the film from today's outing. Upon arriving home,
she prepares a quick snack for her ravaging children and sits down to scan
and post the photos along with a lengthy post for all the hungry fans who
can't make it to Miami to meet the brothers. Today she is having trouble with
her computer. The system is rather slow, but none the less, she knows she
must get the pictures through. She battles on! 40 minutes later the photos
have been scanned and edited and are ready to be posted. At the end
of her detailed Gibbing post, she adds that there was no Barry today but she
will try to get to the studio tomorrow. She decides to telephone another
Miami fan who agrees that she will take the Texas fans to the studio
tomorrow.
- The Miami fan then
prepares dinner for her family, reads her children a quick bedtime story,
sings a Bee Gees lullaby (Too much Heaven) , tucks them in and kisses them
goodnight. ...Before retiring for the night, she plans her day for tomorrow.
...hmmm....maybe she will be able to fit in a quick meeting with the Texas
fans after all. We'll see ;o)
Well I just wanted you to truly appreciate what
you are about to receive.....
