What is up???? Man, please accept my apology for being distant these
last few months. I intend on becoming far more involved with this group,
I just needed some time to get all my ducks in a row. Plus, the mods
have some really awesome ideas for me to have a more "hands on"
connection with you all!!
I'll give you a bit of an update about whats going on with me. ( Could
I sound any more selfish ???? Had to check myself for a second there.)
I can honestly say that I'm happy, confident and excited about life! I
just got home from rehearsals. I just LOVE the band that I'm working
with. And the background vocalists are phenomenal. Its so nice to be
around talented people who are humble and spirited, you know? We have a
HUGE show this Friday night at The Viper Room. Dreamworks is having me
open up for one of their newest, hottest bands.( The OURS, or something
like that.) Not to mention that the entire company will be there watching
my every move. They totally "get me" as an artist. I feel like God has
just placed me in this perfect position to run fast with my dreams in
front of me, so needless to say....I'M FREAKIN' SPRINTING !! I go
onstage at 7:30, but if any of you come down and join in the festivities, GET
THERE EARLY!! This is pretty much the biggest night of my life and I
gotta' shine. ( Hey, thats a really good song idea.) I've been writing
and re-working some of my newest stuff. And hey! For those of you who
aren't really feeling that song "Dangerous Love" , man you gotta' hear
it live. Whoo, man! Its funky as hell live. There will be a fully
recorded CD of the entire show, and I will of course, share it with my dawgs
at Loving Sarah so that you don't feel so distant if you live far away.
I have no idea what to wear, but I'll figure something out. I'm last
minute like that anyway.
Working at the resturaunt is wonderful. Its great money and we have so
much fun there. I have to minimize my hours a bit, because I'm doing
like six shifts a week, and as much as I love it there, and all my great
friends work there, I need a little bit more spare time for running
throught the park with the doggies! Daisey wakes me up every morning
barking at me, and forcing me out of a warm, snuggly bed to take her to the
park. And of course, I do it!! I'm such a sucker.
AJ has been working his butt off writing, producing, engineering and
recording some of the most amazing music I have ever heard. And I am not
just being partial. This new music of his is trippin' me out. He played
me one last night that blew my mind!! His voice is the best I've ever
heard it, and his producing skills are sick!!! He is very proud of it
aswell, wich is very motivating on many levels. And I hope you guys
don't think that I'm telling you this to tease you. I know in my heart that
you will all have the opportunity to hear it soon, wether it be on the
BSB album, or just for AJ. Its soooo damn good that it will not go
unheard.
I have seen the sketch that Debi did of me, and I have it saved in my
files, cause its dope!!! I look way better in her drawing than in real
life, so I'm really clinging to it. My Grandpa came by to see me today
at my house, and I showed it to him and he was like..."wow, honey, you
look so beautiful." So thank you, Debi!!
Anyway, listen guys...I don't want to bore you with all my babbling. I
just felt that we needed a little check in. And Sharon! Why don't you
let them hear "You Can Feel". I think it will resonate with a lot of you
guys. Also, maybe a snippet of "I Want It All" . I have two brand
spankin' new ones that I am getting to Sharon wich I will be performing
Friday night, so please continue to supply me with your HONEST opinions. I
can take it. I'm a very strong woman. I'm discovering that more and
more each day, as I continue to experience life. This group rocks! All
the moderators rule up in here!! I love you guys, and I am so thankful
for your continued support and for your kind, honest words.
