You're back with a stonkin' single - Sell it to us!
Howie: It's called More Than That and it's the story of a guy who's in love with a girl but she's unavailable, she's in a bad relationship already. He's saying, "Don't stay with him, be with me and I'll love you more than he could."
*Rumour alert* One of you is expecting a baby any day now...
Brian: (laughs) Untrue! But my brother Trevor and his wife just had a baby, Samantha, who is so cute. Leighanne and I went to say hello and took loads of photos, but we're happy to be auntie and uncle right now. We're not ready for kids of our own yet.
Now that Kevin and Brian are married, is touring harder 'casue you miss your wifeys?
Kevin: Yeah. Our schedule's tough and Kristin's busy too, but we work round that. Krisitn comes with us a lot, so we see each other as much as possible.
*Rumour alert* You've turned into stay-at-home slobs...
Nick: Oh no! We love to party! When I turned 21 we had a mad one! I'm helping to manage a rock band and they performed for us. It was real messy. We partied for hours!
AJ: Ha ha! I have calmed down a lot actually, but you don't have to worry! Ok, when I'm at home I prefer to hang out quietly, but when we're on tour it's crazy. There's parties to go to...well, it'd be rude not to!
Your summer tour in the US isn't coming to the UK - what the jiggins are we going to be missing?
Ha ha! You'll have to wait and see! But no-one's gonna go home disappointed, that's for sure. It's a big show - quite a long show - but also our most spectacular. You can expect a lot of excitement, and of course all the hits!
Is it difficult to be a single BSB these days?
Howie: No, not at all. Sometimes it's easier to be a Backstreet Boys and be single - that way I don't have to split loyalties. AJ and I can always hang out! He's pretty single at the moment. But knowing him, that could change quickly!
*Rumour alert* You're all going off to live in the country...
Kevin: I think we all have moments where we wonder whether it's giving up our privacy. But at the end of the day, we love what we do. I do want to buy a home in the counrty but, hey, that's where I'm from! It's not because I want to change my life in any other way.
You've been in 'The Street' for six years. Any chance the solo stints could get more serious...
Brian: If you saw our schedule you wouldn't ask that! Seriously, we've no plans to take a year off, believe me. There's not so much reason now - these days we get holidays!
AJ: My solo stuff as Johnny No Name is going great! I want to tour as him becuase I can go really wild on stage. I'm dying to bring him to the UK. He has an English accent so it's only fair! Watch this space...
Howie, you're helping some new artisits aren't you?
That's right! I've been doing some work with my sister Pollyanna, and my neice Chelsea Herring. Pollyanna's so not excited to be workign with me, though - she's more impressed to be working with Ricky Martin's producer! Her stuff's got a great latin edge. Right now Chelsea's at the support and advice stage, but she's keen to get started.
*Rumour alert* Nick's you're suffering from depression...
No, I'm fine, honestly. I'm happy at the moment so I don't want anybody out there to worry about me.
AJ, your gran died last month. Did that affect your approach to music at all?
I guess it must have in some ways. At the end of the day, this is my job abd although it's crazy from time to time, my life is like everyone else's... I still have t myself get up and work whether I'm feeling happy or sad. When big stuff like that happens it does alter your perception a lot, but Gran's death affected me in the same way it'd affect anyone who lost someone they loved.
*Rumour alert* Howie, you're actualyl an alien and you're all going film-mad...
Howie: (laughs) Well, kinda. I played one in Roswell. Someone at the TV company found out I was a fan and offered me a part. I jumped at the chance! Even though I only had one line, I was like, "Wow!" I might also have a role in a movie called Bloom soon.
AJ: I just finished filming a movie called Olive Juice . Brian and Leighanne (again!) were involved. I played this really crazy DJ guy, so it was a blast!
Brian, you did the Olive Juice soundtrack. Are you going all serious on us?
Well,no, but I am in talks about a couple of soundtracks and things at the moment... it's very hush-hush I'm afraid!
*Rumour alert* Nick, you drew some of your cartoons on www.backstreetproject.com...
Well, I had a hand in designing it, which was great. I've been interested in cartoons for years, so it was a real buzz. The paper cartoon books have only been on sale at our live shows so far - hopefully we'll find some way to bring it to a wider audience soon.
Backstreet's single More Than That is out June 25. Nip down the main street!
