Sneakin' Around

Sneakin' around

Chapter 1

Marion opened the door, kissing AJ passionately, as he unbuttoned her top. Leading into the bedroom, they undressed each other slowly. Reaching the bed, they lay upon it and made love to each other all through the night. Finishing, she wrapped her arms around him and they fell asleep.

Dawn approached as AJ kissed Marion on the forehead, pulled on his clothes and left.

A couple hours later, Marion reached over to the right side of the bed, to feel nothing was there. Slowly opening her eyes, she saw that AJ was gone. She frowned.

Grabbing a yogurt out of the fridge, the phone rang.

"Hello?" Marion asked.

"Hey girlie!" said the voice.

"Hey Gage."

"What's wrong?"

"He left to be with her again."

"I'm sorry. Hasn't he been doing this for a while? I thought he was going to break up with her."

"Me too. But he didn't. I don't know what to do. I love him and I think he loves me. At least he has said he does."

"Why don't you come up here for a while? Get your mind off of things. Especially when your family is up here, they would like to see you again."

"Yeah. I think your right."

"So, you want me to book you a ticket?"

"Sure. Just give me a day to get things organized down here."

"Cool. Then I'll see you in a couple days."

"Yeap. Bye."

"Bye."

Marion hung up the phone and got ready for work.

On the way to the dance studio, she was thinking what she could say to Henry so she could miss a couple days to be up in New York.

KNOCK, KNOCK

"Come in," said Henry. The door opened and looking up he saw a woman with brown hair, dark framed glasses, tan carpe pants and navy blue muscle shirt. "Hey Marion."

"Hi," she said. "Could I talk to you?"

"Sure. What's on your mind?"

"Well, I got a phone call from my friend and she notified me that there was a death in my family. So, would it be all right if I go up there for a couple days?"

"Of course. I'm really sorry about the news. Chrisie won't be here either and I was going to give everyone the week off anyway."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. So, go get ready for dance rehearsal, then go up to New York and try to make the best out of it."

Marion smiled and left his office. She couldn't believe that she had the whole week off. Thinking, she didn't even have to make up the lie about the death in the family.

After rehearsal, as Marion was walking out of the studio, she saw AJ and his girlfriend, Debbie walking down the hall hand and hand and acted like she didn't see them walking past her. Climbing into the red Ford Focus, she felt a sign of relief. She could actually go to New York without feeling guilty about not explaining herself to him for leaving.

Chapter 2

The next morning, Marion looked over the apartment seeing if she had everything. She smiled and opened the door with a large black Nike bag in one hand and her coat in the other. Looking up, she saw AJ standing in front of her with a questionable face.

"What are you doing?" asked AJ.

"I'm leaving," announced Marion.

"Where are you going?"

"New York. I need to clear my head about some things."

"What things?"

"You and me. I'm very confused, so if you don't mind, I would like to leave." She tried to make her way passed him, but he stopped her.

"Can I call you?"

She looked through the lens of his sunglasses and looked in his deep brown eyes. Feeling weak, she persuaded herself to put her foot down.

"No. Because all your going to say is how much you love me and going to leave her. Then I'm going to wish that I was with you, holding you and touching you." He gave her a look that made her weak in the knees. "So, there is only one solution, you got to stay away from me, because my heart can't tell you no."

"But I'm going to leave her."

"Really? You really mean it?" He stood there looking at her with a blank face. "That's what I thought."

Marion walked passed him, threw her bag in the passenger's side and drove away. After she left AJ's sight, he hit the wall and climbed into the silver Ford Explorer.

Arriving in New York City, Gage was awaiting for Marion.

"Hey girlie! I'm so happy to see you!" said Gage, a woman who was Latin, with long curly auburn hair and brown eyes.

"Me too!" said Marion, hugging her.

"You got any bags?"

"Just one."

"All right. Let's go get it."

They headed to baggage claim and picked up her bag.

"Where are you parked?"

"In the garage. I rewarded myself last week."

"Really? How?"

Gage walked towards the 00' black Ellipse. "Ta da!"

"This is yours?"

"Yeap. Sweet, isn't it?"

"It's gorgeous!"

"Hop in. I have to catch you up on things that has been going on in this big city."

Marion smiled and climbed in the passenger's side, then they headed to Gage's apartment.

"AJ visited me this morning," Marion whispered.

"What?"

"AJ visited me this morning at my apartment," she repeated.

"What happened?"

"He asked where I was going and I told him New York to think things over. I told him some of what I was feeling. It just came out. Then he told me that he was leaving her and I asked him if it was really true. But he gave me a blank face with no answer."

"I'm really sorry."

"I don't what I'm going to do. When you're in love with someone and they're in love with someone else, it's a living hell."

"Love sucks! Believe me! I've had enough boyfriends!"

Marion smiled. "Yeah. I am glad that I'm here. I needed to see everyone again."

"That's right! Need to get your mind off of that boy!"

Chapter 3

Before AJ left the house, Debbie stopped him. "What are these?" she demanded, holding up a pair of black thongs. "They aren't mine. Whose are they?"

"I can explain . . ." stuttered AJ.

"You better do it quick."

"A fan threw them at me at one of the concerts."

Debbie had a questionable face that turned into a smile. "Okay." She pecked him on the lips and ran upstairs.

AJ left, thinking that they were Marion's. He knew he couldn't lie anymore he needed to explain to Debbie that they needed to break up and that he was in love with Marion.

At the studio, the Backstreet Boys were getting ready to go on a promotional tour for their next album. "Where's our first stop?" asked Nick, eager to get things rolling again.

"New York City," said Mike. AJ frowned. "What's wrong Mr. Cool?"

"Nothing," said AJ.

"Good."

AJ smiled and they continued discussing things.

Arriving at his house, Debbie was waiting for him with a candle light dinner.

"What do you think?" Debbie asked.

"It's great honey," AJ said and kissed her. "Thanks."

"This is just for apologizing for what I did to you this morning. You forgive me?"

"Yeah. We need to talk."

She began to rub his shoulders and becoming turned on as he rolled his head side to side. "Why don't we go upstairs, so you can relax."

"We really need to talk."

"Later," she moaned. Getting down on her knees, in-between his legs, she undid his buckle, then unbuttoned his pants. Pulling down his boxers, she began to give him head. He sat there motionless, not noticing that she was down there pleasing herself. All he could do is think of Marion.

After she was finished, Debbie went upstairs and fell to sleep as AJ pulled on a pair of boxers and went out to the balcony then lit up a cigarette. Sitting in the green chair, he pulled out his cell phone and dialed the number to Marion's friend Gage's place.

There was a phone ringing near by.

Gage rolled over to look at the clock to see that it was 2:26 A.M.

"Who the hell is calling at this hour?" she asked herself and picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Gage?" the voice asked.

"This is her."

"It's AJ."

"How did you get this number?"

"Never mind that. Is Marion staying with you?"

"I'm not supposed to reveal that information."

"Please!"

"Why is it so important to you? Aren't you with that other girl?"

AJ paused. He didn't want to answer her question. "It's important because I'm going up there tomorrow for a promotional tour. I need to talk to her."

"Well, she doesn't want to talk to you. You need to leave her alone."

"I'm going to be at Virgin Records in Times Square at noon. Just tell her please!"

He heard no response except for a click. Frowning, he put out his cigarette and went inside. Pulling off his boxers, Debbie had woken up.

"Who were you talking to?" she asked half asleep.

"Howie. He is having some problems with his girlfriend right now, so he wanted to talk."

"Oh. All right." She kissed him and went back to sleep.

He sighed, laying back down, thinking about what he was going to do with Marion. Hopefully Gage will tell her and Marion will be they're waiting for him.

Chapter 4

The next morning, Marion woke up to the sunlight lying upon her. She stretched and joined Gage downstairs. She found her sitting at the table reading the newspaper in her work clothes.

"Good morning!" Marion said cheerfully.

"Good morning. Feeling better?" asked Gage.

"Actually I do. I fell into a deep sleep that was wonderful."

Gage smiled then thought about the phone call she received in the middle of the night. "You need to sit down."

"Okay. What's on your mind?"

Marion sat down waiting her for her friend to speak.

"AJ called."

"How did he get the number?"

"I asked him, but he didn't say."

"So, what did he want and did you tell him anything?"

"I didn't say a word about you. But he wanted me to tell you that he's coming to New York for a promotional tour. He'll be at Virgin Records at noon. I think you should go."

"What? Are you on his side now?"

"No. I think he's a jerk for what he is doing to you, but I think you should give him a chance to explain. He sounded pretty desperate."

Marion thought for a moment. "I don't know if I want to go or not."

"Are you in love with the guy?"

"Yes."

"Then you'll do the right thing." She smiled. "I need to get to work. Whatever you decide today, I'm with you one hundred percent."

Marion smiled and watched Gage walk out the door.

The Backstreet Boys arrived at Virgin Records and got ready to answer questions for the press. Waiting backstage, they could hear the fans cheering and chanting their name. AJ looked through the curtains to look over the crowd but there was no sign of Marion.

"Who are you looking for?" asked Howie.

"Marion. I hope her friend told her about today," said AJ.

"I'm sure she did. Don't worry. She'll show up."

AJ smiled and they finished getting ready.

In the middle of the conference, the question came up, "AJ," said a woman reporter. "You have been seen with a mysterious woman that is not Debbie. Who is she?"

AJ was stumped. He didn't think that him and Marion was seen together. Only the guys knew about his association with her. "A friend of mine," AJ lied. Thinking that if he told the truth, then it would get back to Debbie, he wanted to tell her himself then hearing it from some newspaper tomorrow morning. "Next question." As people raised their hands, he searched the crowd again and saw a woman with sunglasses and short jet-black hair that was raising her hand.

"Yes, you," said Mike, pointing to the woman AJ spotted.

"AJ," she began, in an English accent. "Are you a player when it comes to relationships?"

He was insulted, thinking that he's always been faithful except for this one time. Lying again, he said, "Yes. Always. Anymore questions?"

"No. That answers my question," she said and disappeared.

AJ stood up, watching her leave. Who was she? She couldn't have been . . .

"Bone! Sit down!" Kevin demanded. "You're in the middle of a conference."

AJ nodded and sat down.

After the meeting was over and everyone cleared out, AJ went around looking for the woman. He finally saw her in the alley, smoking a cigarette in a white shirt and black skirt.

"Excuse me," he said, approaching her.

She looked up, threw the cigarette down and stomped on it. "Yes?" she asked, adjusting her voice.

"The question that you asked, I hope you realize that you insulted me. What throws you off that I would do something like that?"

"I have my sources."

"Really?" he asked, searching her face and she looked familiar. "Mar . . ."

Chapter 5

"AJ!" yelled a person behind him. He turned around and it was Debbie.

"Debbie!" Glancing back to the woman, he noticed that she was walking off with her straight brown hair down and realizing that it was Marion. But she was too far away to grab her in time. He turned back around to Debbie. "Baby! What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to surprise you!" Debbie said and kissed him.

"That's a great surprise." He forced a smile. "I'm glad your here because we still need to have that talk."

"Over dinner tonight. I made reservations at 'The Quarry."

"Great! What time? I have to get going. I'll meet you there."

"Seven."

"Sounds good. See you then." He kissed her and headed back inside.

Joining the guys, they headed back to their hotel.

Marion walked in throwing her keys down on the kitchen counter.

"Whoa! What's wrong with you?" asked Gage.

"I went to the press conference," started Marion.

"Great! How did it go?"

"I disguised myself and asked the question if he had been faithful in his relationships and he said yes. He lied! I can't believe he would do that! Just to protect his own ass!"

"So, I'm guessing you didn't talk."

"No. Well, we almost did then Debbie showed up! Great timing! Now I'm even madder! He probably told her that he'd never seen me before! God! I'm so sick of him! Why can't he tell the truth?"

"Men are like that. If he really loved you, then he would try to apologize." Marion looked at her with a blank face. "Go get your pj's on and we'll have a 'I hate men' night! I have some junk food here, a couple movies and we'll just hang out."

Marion smiled and headed upstairs.

AJ looked at his watch and he had two hours until he had to meet Debbie at the restaurant. Looking at his outfit, a long sleeve green shirt and ragged jeans, he decided to make Marion a visit before going to meet Debbie. He put on a black sock cap and dark black sunglasses.

Looking through the phone book, he looked up Gage Russo. She lived at 108 Main Street. Closing the book, he grinned and headed to Gage's place.

Arriving, he looked at his watch, he still had an hour.

KNOCK, KNOCK

Gage opened the door to see a man with a black sock cap, black sunglasses, a long sleeve green shirt and ragged jeans. "Can I help you?" she asked.

"I'm looking for Marion," he said.

"Who are you?"

"AJ."

Gage thought how mad Marion was at him and how she would never forgive her for doing what she was about to do.

Marion stood in front of the mirror putting up her hair in a ponytail. Looking at herself, she saw a dark figure behind her. She turned around and saw AJ. "What are you doing here?" she demanded.

Chapter 6

"To see you," AJ whispered.

"Why? Shouldn't you be entertaining Debbie?"

"I know it was you at the press conference. Why didn't you come backstage and talk to me?"

"Because I knew that it would be too hard. Personally, I don't even know why I showed up in the first place." She began to yell. "Then in the alley I wanted to talk to you, but I some how forgot you couldn't go anywhere without Debbie!"

"I didn't know she was coming!" he yelled back.

"Yeah right! Why should I believe you when you lied answering my question?"

"I didn't know that was you until you stormed out of the place!"

"I want you out and to never talk to me again!" AJ stood there, thinking she didn't mean what she said. "OUT!!" She pushed him practically out of the door. He caught himself, holding on to the frame of the door. As she closed the door, he put his hands up to stop it. Not moving, she stood back.

"Now you will listen to me!" he yelled, coming back into the room. He walked in front of her as she moved back, then banging her lower back at the brown dresser. They were so close that they could feel each other's breath. "I'm going to meet Debbie tonight and tell her that I'm breaking it off. Because I'm in love with you! If that doesn't satisfy you then you can come and be a witness! Now I hope you believe me, because I have never lied to you. When I found you, my whole world stopped and I didn't want it to continue, unless you were in it. I love you Marion!" Finishing his sentence, he began to walk out of the room.

She grabbed onto his shoulder, turned him to her and kissed him passionately. He cupped his hands around her face and continued to kiss more deeply.

Breaking, Marion said, "I'm sorry. I don't want to fight with Debbie on who gets you every night. I'm tired of playing this game."

"Me too. Will you come with me? You don't have to come to the table, just sit close so you can hear everything."

"Yes, I'll come with you. Just let me get dressed."

AJ kissed her again, and left so she could change.

Walking downstairs, AJ saw Gage sitting at the bottom of the stairs.

"Hi," AJ said.

"Hey. Nice argument you had going there."

"Yeah. We made up and I'm going to break it off with Debbie. Marion is going to be a witness."

"I'm happy for you guys. But if you ever do that to her again, believe me I will hunt you down like the Blair Witch!" AJ backed off slowly as she began to laugh. "I'm kidding!"

AJ sighed. "Good, but you have nothing to worry about."

She smiled as she watched Marion coming down in black pants and a light blue sleeveless shirt.

"Don't wait up," said Marion, kissed Gage on the cheek, and walked out hand and hand with AJ.

Arriving at AJ's hotel room, he had to hurry and change. Marion laid on the bed and watched him.

"What?" AJ asked.

"Nothing. Nothing at all," Marion said, grinning.

"How about this?" He was referring to the dark gray muscle shirt and black polyester pants with a silver cross necklace.

"Sexy! I love that material," she said, rubbing his chest.

AJ grinned. "Okay. I'm hoping it'll end in one of her drama performances and we'll eat afterwards."

"Good plan."

AJ grabbed her hand and they left.

Chapter 7

Arriving at 'The Quarry' AJ looked into the dinning area to find Debbie sitting at a table by herself, sipping a glass of red wine.

"See that table right next to her?" asked AJ. She nodded. "Go sit down like your waiting for someone and I'll come in a couple minutes later."

Marion did what he commanded and sat in the chair where she would be back to back with AJ.

Ordering a drink, AJ came into the room and joined Debbie.

"Hello darling," Debbie said, grabbing his hands and kissing him.

"Hi. Did you order yet?" asked AJ.

"No. I was waiting for you."

AJ smiled. "Well, before we do, let's have that talk."

"Sure. What's on your mind?"

"We need to break up."

"What? Why? What's wrong with me?"

"It's not you. It's me. I'm in love with someone else."

Hearing the conversation, Marion smiled and sighed with a sign of relief that the sneaking around was going to be over.

"I can't believe this! Who is she? Is she some tramp you met on the road? Who is she???"

Debbie yelled louder as people began to look.

"Will you quiet down? People are staring."

"No I will not quiet down! I think I have a right to yell!" She stood up, threw her water on him and picked up her purse. "Have fun with the little slut! I'm outta here!" She stomped off as everyone watched.

AJ went around to Marion.

"You're wet. I'm so sorry," said Marion, whipping him off with a cloth napkin.

"It was worth it. Come on, let's go some where I haven't been in a scene yet," AJ said, grabbed her hand and they left.

AJ and Marion headed back to the hotel so AJ could change.

Walking into the lobby, they saw Debbie walking out with her bags.

"So you're the little hucci who is sleeping around with AJ," Debbie said. Marion held on to AJ's hand tighter. "Well, have your fun while it lasts because you won't have it for long. Oh and AJ, I'll be out after I return back home." She flipped her hair and went through the revolving door.

Marion looked up at AJ in shock. "Did she mean what she said?"

"Of course not. You know I can't go on without you in my life," said AJ.

"You're right!"

They kissed and headed upstairs. A

rriving at his room, Marion sat on the bed as AJ picked up his cell phone.

"Hello?" someone asked.

"Hey Pic! Have good security for my house tomorrow. Debbie is coming to move out. I want to make sure she doesn't take anything."

"Alright. That won't be a problem."

"Thanks. Bye."

"Bye."

He hung up and took off his damp clothes and stood in front of Marion naked.

"I'll just be a minute." Marion stood up on her knees and licked below his right ear. "Come on. I thought you were hungry."

"I'm starving," Marion whispered and kissed his neck.

"Oh, I see what you mean." He laid her on her back and straddled himself upon her. "Thinking about it, I'm starving too," he said, kissing her neck.

"Then I think we should fix our problem."

They began to kiss, as AJ slowly took off Marion's clothes. He adjusted himself upon her and made love to her like he had never before.

After a couple times, he pulled out, wrapped his arms around her and said, "That was the best supper I have ever had."

"Me too. And this time, you can stay instead of leaving to be with Debbie."

"That's the best part."

They kissed and fell asleep.
