All Or Nothing at All
Ch.1 (Nick's P.O.V)
Everything happened so fast, yet it was almost in slow motion. Kara and Michelle were on the rocks rolling around, which had to be painful. That wasn't the part which had me worried. The gun was in Michelle's hands, and she was obviously capable to do anything she wanted. Just as I got myself off of the rocks, from being kicked, and went towards Michelle, two shots were fired. The only sound I heard I was my own heart.
"KARA!" I knelt down besides her and I could hear her crying.
"I-I'm okay." Her voice was shaky and barely audible. I pushed Michelle's lifeless body off of her and took her into my arms.
"You're hurt." I said gently running my fingers over the gash on her forehead. "The police should be here any minute. When I saw you with her on these rocks I called." Her eyes began to close then open.
"Stay with me baby girl."
"You, you're my ba-baby."
"I love you Kara. I love you so much." I kissed her lips softly.
"I love you." She replied with a small smile on her face but then she started coughing. I looked down on her and noticed her baby blue shirt was now soaked in blood.
"That's not just her blood is it?" The tears filled in my eyes as I ripped open her shirt and saw the bullet wound. "Oh God, baby it's going to be all right." I took my shirt off and held it on her chest.
"Nick, I'm so sorry. I don't blame you for anything, if only I hadn't."
"Shh, save your strength, the ambulance is here." I waved my one arm in the air.
"If I don't make it-"
"Shut up Kara. You've never given up on me, and I am NOT going to give up on you. Honey, I need you in my life. You complete it, I could live without the Backstreet
Boys, but I cannot live without you." Just as she closed her eyes the paramedics reached us and pushed me out of the way...

"Are you sure you have everything packed?"
"Yes Nick, for the millionth time. My medication, clothes, toothbrush and paste. Everything."
"Okay I just don't want to be in the mountains and have something happen. I love you Kara." He kissed me and we both started kissing passionately.
"Uh-hem." Someone cleared their voice and we pulled away.
"Howie you're here!" I smiled and pulled him into a hug.
"Yes I am. Kevin and Stacey are going to be a few minutes late. You know Kevin, checking everything like ten times to make sure he has everything." We all laughed knowingly.
"What are you so happy about?" I asked wrapping my arms around Nick's waist.
"The fact that I'm going to be with my girl for almost a month. That we get to go skiing and enjoy nature. To hang with all of our friends and have no fans, no parents, no press to bother us. Just us and the snow."
"Mmm, that does sound great." I began to kiss Nick and we became more in depth.
"Ugh get a room you two." Brian announced walking in the room holding Beth's hand.
"Oh we will once we're in the mountains..." Nick raised his eyebrow.
"Stacey and Kev are here let's go!" A.J. yelled getting all of his things together. We walked outside and loaded Kevin's van up.
"I don't see why we couldn't take two cars." Chastity, A.J's girlfriend complained sitting on his lap.
"I know really, who's great idea was this?" Beth asked looking at Nick.
"Hey look at your boyfriend not me."
"It's a fifteen minute drive, ya'll will live." Kevin said starting up the van. Stacey was upfront with him, then A.J and Chastity on his lap, Howie sat next to him, with his girlfriend Alicia. In the seats behind them, Nick sat, then me on his lap, Brian next to him and Beth on his lap.
Soon we were able to get to the airport, check in our luggage and get onto the plane. Thankfully we didn't have to rush and were able to take our time.
Ch.2
After riding on the plane, which seemed like hours, we finally arrived in Vermont.
"Howie and Alicia are here with the van." A.J. announced and we all gathered our things and piled into the van.
"Let's get going, the drive is like two hours. And I'd like to get there before dark." Kevin told us buckling his seat belt. For the next two hours we talked about what we would do for this next month.
"We're here." Howie said happily as he got out of the van.
" Nick wake up." I shook him lightly and he opened his eyes sleepily.
"Hmm?"
"We're here baby." He smiled and looked around. "Okay, let's go." He took my hand and we climbed out.
"You have the key right Kev?"
"No, I gave it to you Brian. Don't even tell me you-"
"KIDDING!" Brian began laughing and Beth slapped him playfully on the arm. Taking all of our luggage we walked to the front of the large house. Brian unlocked the door and we walked in, and headed up the stairs.
"All the rooms should be the same, no fighting."
"Yes, sir, Kevin sir." A.J. saluted, took Chastity's hand and went into a room.
"Come on, let's take the one at the end of the hall." Nick carried the bags and we walked down the hall way into the room.
"Wow, this is really nice."
"Yeah it is. Here look out the window." He pulled back the curtains and I looked at the gorgeous scenery.
"Man, that's so pretty with all the snow on the trees."
"Not half as pretty as you though." He kissed my neck lightly.
"Mmm, Nick let's unpack first. If we don't now, we wont get it done."

After we unpacked everything and were settled it, I went outside on the porch to think of the events that had gone on.
"There you are. Nick wants to know what you want for dinner? Hamburger or hot dog?"
"Um, hamburger I guess." I answered to Beth.
"You all right?"
"Mmm hmm." I continued to stare out into the mountains.
"Kar."
"Beth?"
"Come on. Are you just thinking of everything?" I nodded my head and sighed.
"Nothing but good can happen from here on. Now come on inside, it's freezing out here." I nodded my head and followed her inside.
"Nick man you're messing it up. Let me make them!" I heard Brian yell in the kitchen.
"No way, remember last time you made the burgers. Now move on over Rok!"
"Don't even make me get this water hose out."
"You think we should go on in there before they make a mess?" I asked Beth.
"Probably, but be careful going in." I laughed and we went to the door and slowly pushed it open.
"What are you two doing?" I asked with my hands on my hips.
"Making dinner?" Nick replied innocently.
"Sure you are. Move out, we'll make dinner." Beth pushed Brian and I pushed Nick out of the kitchen.
"I'll make the salad and you can finish up, well start over the burgers?" I laughed
"Yeah. What would these guys do without us?"
"Have Howie cook and not get any work done" I answered simply. "I would use that skillit and not that frying pan."
"Good idea." Beth placed the pan into the sink and plugged in the skillit. Just as she did, there were sparks flying out and Beth's screams.
Ch.3
I wasn't sure what had exactly happened, but one minute Beth was plugging in the pan and the next she was on the ground.
"BRIAN!" I screamed and was by her side. "Beth wake up hun." I shook her a little and her eyes opened up.
"W-what happened?"
"Lay still, I think you were shocked." Just then Brian along with the other's ran in.
"What happened?!" He aked worriedly and lifted her head into his lap.
"I told her to plug in that skillet, and she was like electricuted. It happened so fast."
"Well, this wire has been cut." Kevin said holding it up.
"Come on baby, let's go lay you down." With one quick swift move, Brian swung Beth into his arms and carried out into the living room. The other's followed him and Nick stayed behind.
"You okay?" I nodded my head and he pulled me into a hug. "Babe you're shaking."
"I-I'm fine." I smiled brightly and stood up from the ground. "Go on out and make sure everything is okay. I'll finish up making dinner. It will be ready in about a half hour."
"Kara don't-"
"Nick go."
"No I am not letting you do this to me. It's okay to be scared. When I heard the scream in here, my mind went immediately to you. I am so afraid of losing you Kara."
"Don't be. I'm here. It's all good."
"That's MY saying, now let me help you with dinner." He took my hands and stared into my eyes.
"Oh alright, you do the salad."
"And you use a different pan."

It was around ten when we all headed for our rooms because we were so tired. It was a long travel, and what should've been, was a stressful night. I had just finished brushing my teeth and washing face and climbed into bed with Nick.
"Mmm, I just want to sleep forever." Nick said wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Me too." I sighed and cuddled up to his body.
"I love you." Nick sweetly whispered in my ear and I said the same thing.
Before I knew, Nick and I were both asleep. That was until later that night I was woken up without warning.
"Ahh!" Nick sat upright in the bed breathing hard.
"Nick?" I asked sleepily trying to focus my eyes on him in the dark. "What's wrong?" Sitting up, I reached over and turned on the light. Nick was drenched in sweat and trying to catch his breath.
"I-I can't b-breathe."
"Baby, you need to slow them down. Breathe threw your nose and out of your mouth." After trying that a few times, he shook his head no. "It's alright. Here sit on the edge of the bed." I helped him swing his legs around and made him put his head between his knees.
"What's going on in here?" Howie asked yawning.
"Can you get me a paper bag please?" I rubbed Nick's back trying to soothe him.
"Yeah sure." He ran out of the room to get the bag.
"I-I am really d-dizzy." Nick went to lay back but I stopped him.
"You'll pass out."
"Here's the bag." Howie handed it to me and Brian walked into the room, right over to the bed.
"What happened?"
"I'm not really sure. Nick breathe through this, it will help you slow your breathing down." He placed the opening over his mouth and took in deep, slow breaths.
After about five minutes Nick was able to breathe normal again.
"Hey bro, you okay?" Brian asked, his hand still placed on his bestfriends shoulder.
"I think so."
"Here drink this water." I handed him the tall glass and he drank it thirstly. "Did you just start having trouble or something else?" Howie asked intently.
"I had a...night mare."
"What was it about hun?
"I think I am going to go take a shower. Sorry for waking you guys up." He walked across the room and into the bathroom.
After an hour passed, Nick was still in the shower and I had managed to fall back asleep. Even though I was laying on the opposite side of the head bored.
(Nick's Point Of View)
The nightmare had me really shaken up, but I wasn't about to tell anyone about it. I mean it's not that big of a deal. Walking into the bed room I had to smile looking at Kara. Her head was at the foot of the bed, her right arm hanging over the side and all the blankets on the floor. I picked them up and placed the blankets over her body, gently putting her arm on the bed.
I took out a sweat shirt, turned off the light and walked out of the room. I made my way down the stairs, took my coat off the rack and went outside into the cold, crisp, air.
