Welcome to Burbon Street, New Orleans, home of Mardi Gras. Here you will have some features of this world wide known party. Where no one looses a great time, but everyone looses their clothing. Shinning beads will light you the way, to Mardi Gras ... where only one word comes to mind: PaRtY !!!!!

Bourbon Street and Mardi Gras

The origins of the Mardi Gras have been lost in time. Some of the more popular theories are that Mardi Gras is nothing more than a holdover from the ancient Roman springtime pagan orgies, or that it's a natural evolution from the French's Bal masque (masked balls). Some have even suggested that it has it's roots in a combination of cultures resulting from French, English, American and Caribbean influences. However it came to pass, it's a lot of fun and an event unique in the world.

Is the flashing only during Mardi Gras?

Mardi Gras, New Years, July 4th, Spring Break, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Halloween... just about any holiday will trigger a frenzy of littoral hundreds of women flashing on Bourbon Street. Although the public flashing did START as a Mardi Gras only event, it's now permeated every aspect of Bourbon Street and happens practically every weekend.

They sure do! Offer them anything else (including money) and they will think your some kind of ass hole. But wave a few little beads in front of their face, and all of the sudden anything goes! It must be the party atmosphere on Bourbon Street. Your beads have never been worth so much since the pilgrims bought Manhattan from the Indians!

Is this legal ?

Do YOU really care? Of course for those of you that are worried about the legal aspects... technically anything above the waist is ok with the local authorities. It's when people start dropping their trousers that the policemen get upset.
