Need a tasty ultraviolent treat? If so, check out this short little treat!

The story begins with a girl whose parents are brutally murdered. Taken under the guardianship of an investigator that is a good bit less than an upstanding citizen, she learns to be an assassin. Unfortunately, you do not find out her background until a good ways into the film, but this is the basic premise. The anime is the story of her realisation of the world around her, and her final definition of right and wrong.

Extremely violent and handled with a hefty dose of language, this is not a film for children or the morally squeamish. At times the film has a surreal aspect to it, adding to the slight disorientation you feel at the beginning. The climax and the end fall smoothly into place with skillful ease as loose ends are tied together within the space of a gunshot. Short and to the point, this anime is a good moral exercise.
