This picture was taken when Shannon and I (Kimmy) went to visit Dad at his condo in Cherry Grove. They both thought I was geeky bringing a camera in. As you can see by the photo, Shannon was in mid sentence telling me what a dork I was. Haha, thanks Shannon!!
I think this was Duke's birthday since he's closest to the cake and there's not many candles there. After we sang happy birthday, Dad clapped his hands like a seal and made seal noises. We couldn't stop laughing at that. To this day, I do the same thing after every birthday song.
Jonathon and Dad. Dad never wore sunscreen as you can see. Jonathon, you're still the cutest kid on earth (next to Ashley, of course) hehe
Shannon's wedding day. Shannon and John were 18 and 19 when they decided to elope. Shannon packed all of her clothes and was about to leave when Mom stopped her and demanded the car keys. Mom told her she was NOT going to run away and get married. Dad intervened. After going through a whole spill on why she should wait to get married, he said to her that if this is what she and John truly want, then she should go ahead and do it, but to give it some thought first. Shannon waited 1 second, said "okay" and grabbed the keys back. Dad chuckled and said something like "well I thought you'd give it a little more thought than that!" I guess he knew what he was doing because Shannon and John are still happily married after almost 12 years with 2 beautiful children. Of course, Mom, Gramps and Granny had to give her a proper wedding instead of eloping.
