16 yr old Kaci Jacobs returned home after a tiring day at school and went straight to the kitchen for a snack.
"La la la..." she sang to herself and then sighed while looking in the fridge,"Hell yes, ho ho's!" She grabbed a package and a Pepsi and went to teh computer. She put in her Good Charlotte CD and logged onto her messengers.
"Nobody's on...hm...chat room," she said to herself. She found a music chat room and went in.

Kaci saw a box flash at the bottom of her screen andopened the personal message.

UNkreat1ve: sure yeah, its cool. so wuts up?

oceankid2080: nah, I work. I wish I could but my job takes up a lot of my time.

oceankid2080: I travel for business.
UNkreat1ve: Bizness and u havnt bin 2 college yet?
oceankid2080: well i guess i just have a knack for the job. doin pretty well so far.
UNkreat1ve: thats awesome, i wish i could just work w/ something I love instead of goin to school.
oceankid2080: I didnt get to go to high school, I was home schooled, I wish I could have.

oceankid2080: actually yeah, i love it a lot.

oceankid2080: yeah. well i gotta get goin, gotta run some errands.

Kaci stayed on for a little while but then logged off because no one else was talking to her. She did her homework and watched some TV. At 6pm she started making spagetti and at 6:45 her Dad arrived home.
"Kaci!" he yelled.
"In here!" she yelled back finished up the spagetti.
"Oh, spagetti, yum," he said coming over to her. He kissed her forehead and smelled the food.
"How was your day?" she asked.
"OH, long, long, long," he replied sitting down at the table,"I have to leave Friday night for Florida."
"Again?!" Kaci yelled.
"Babe, calm down. I'll be back Sunday evening. You know I have to do this, it's my job," he said.
"I know but...yeah I know," she said. She dished up their food and they ate in silence until Kaci said,"Who are you working with this time?"
"Jive Records," he responded.
"Really?! Their pretty big. Aren't they the ones with all those pop groups and britney girls?" she asked.
"Yeah, it should be some good publicity for our firm." They finished eating and watched their usual prime time TV together and her dad, Dave, went to sleep around 10. She decided to get online for a little while. She logged on her messengers and checked her email.
