Dr. White: "You are the new mother of a beautiful baby girl, Miss Christianson."
Audrey: "Can I hold her? Please? Just for a few minutes."
Dr. White: "I will allow you to hold her for a little while."
Audrey: "Thank you, Dr. White. I don't want to give her up."
Dr Smith: "You signed the adoption papers. You agreed to give your daughter to the Rhodes family. They've promised to give your daughter a wonderful life. You are only allowed to name her."
Audrey: "I love you, my little Ava. That's what I'll name her. Ava. Always know that mommy loves you and that is the only reason why I gave you away. To give you the life I could never. A chance to be the best you can be,"
Dr. White: "Now, give her back to me gently. It's time for her to meet her new family."
Audrey: "My baby! Give her back! I change my mind! Oh my baby! Give me back my baby!"
{Doctor White takes baby Ava to meet her new parents who are waiting for her anxiously.}
Skyler: "I can't believe we are going to be parents."
Olivia: "Oh Skyler, for being a man, you sure don't know how to maintain your composure. Now sit still, here comes the doctor."
Dr. White: "Here's your new baby girl, Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes. Her name is Ava."
Olivia: "Hmph! What a name. Sounds needy."
Skyler: "I think it's a pretty name. I like it. It seems to fit her well. Look at her eyes. They seem full of wisdom.."
Dr.White: "Well congratulations on your new baby."
{The new family goes home and the birth mother is never heard from again or so we think. One year later we see how much has changed.}
Olivia: "I'm so tired of all this crying and disconnection I feel from this girl!"
Skyler: "I think you should hire a nanny and go back to work. This stay at home mom stuff isn't for you. Ava can walk now. Go back to work. I'll do the interviewing myself.."
Olivia: "Oh Skyler. Can we? I would love to get back to work. I feel so much better after a day in the courtroom."
Skyler: "To be honest with you, I was going to surprise you. I've already hired a nanny. She starts this Monday. You can try and get back your position at the law firm."
Olivia: "This could not have come at a better time. I was ready to give up. Ava does not like me. I can see it in her eyes. Her knowledgeable eyes."
Skyler: "I would do anything for you my love."
Olivia: "Oh Skylar. You do love me, don't you?"
Skyler: "I love you and our daughter with all my heart. Nothing can keep me away from either one of you."
Olivia: "The both of us are two lucky ladies to have you in our life."
Skyler: "Let's go back to sleep. Get some rest. Monday will be here soon.
{Skyler hires a nanny, her name is Alexa Thompson. She moves in to be a live in nanny. Olivia returns back to work as a lawyer. All seems well. Another year passes by. It's Ava's second birthday.}
Alexa: "It's okay, baby. Your mommy and daddy are a little busy. They could never forget your birthday. I know I wouldn't. You are too important to this family,"
Ava: "You my momma."
Alexa: "Legally I am not your mother. I am,.. I am however.. I'm here to take care of you, Ava."
Ava: "I wuv you, Exa."
Alexa: "I love you too, Ava. I love you with all my heart. I will always love you. I will protect you for as long as I breathe."
{The two celebrate together. Another year and a half goes by. Skyler is now a judge and Olivia's position with the firm is very demanding. Their jobs do not leave too much time for little Ava. Alexa fills that void.}
Skyler: "I should be home for dinner. If I am not, don't wait up for me. I'll see you later."
Alexa: "So busy. So busy. Why don't you two make more time for your daughter. She really misses you two.
Skyler: "That's what family vacations are for. Bye!"
Olivia: "Oh, Alexa. Don't tell me our child is getting to be too much for you. I mean, we can replace you if you are too tired for this job. I should be home with enough time to take a long bath."
Alexa: "I love my job. I love working for the both of you. It's just that Ava is asking who her mother is. What is a mother supposed to do? Questions like that."
Olivia: "Well next time she asks tell her that her mommy is making a life for both of them. Daddy is too. Her mommy and daddy love her very much. Soon she will be old enough to understand."
Alexa: "I will do that. Have a good day at work. We will see you later."
{Five years have passed with the same scenario. Olivia is struck down with the flu. She has no choice but to stay home.}
Olivia: "Alexa! I need you! I can't breathe."
Alexa: "If you can talk, you can breathe."
Olivia: "Don't be a wise crack. You know what I mean. Where is my Ava?"
Ava: "You called, Olivia?"
Olivia: "Such disrespect! Who taught you how to call your mother by her birth name. I am mommy. Get it right. Alexa!"
Alexa: "Yes, Mrs. Rhodes?"
Olivia: "Did you teach my child to call me Olivia? She just called me Olivia. Not mom, mommy, mother. Olivia!"
Alexa: "I didn't teach her anything. I swear."
Olivia: "I have never been so disrespected in all my life."
Alexa: "I promise. It was not me. I would never do such a thing."
Olivia: "Who is your mommy?"
Ava: "Mommy Exa is my mommy."
Olivia: "She's not! I am your mommy. I am the mother of this house. Not her. Alexa! You're fired!"
Alexa: "No! Please don't fire me. I have nowhere to go."
Olivia: "I have made up my mind. You have bonded with my daughter too well. I give you a month to find a place and a new job. You are too never have contact with my daughter from this point on."
Alexa: "As you wish, Mrs. Rhodes. I will be gone in 30 days."
{Olivia wastes no time to find a new nanny. Alexa is very upset. Ava feels lost. Angry. Betrayed. Such feelings should not be felt by someone so young. The 30 days go by fast.}
Alexa: "The time has come for me to go, young Ava."
Ava: "Don't go! Please! I promise to be good! I won't ever get my mommy mad at you again! Please! Don't go!"
Olivia: "See what I mean? Florence!"
Florence: "Yes. Mrs. Rhodes?"
Olivia: "Take Ava to her room. Give her a bath and prepare her bags. I'm going to ship her off to a reform school. Go now!"
Florence: "Yes, Mrs. Rhodes."
Ava: "No! Don't make me go! I want Alexa! Let me go!."
Alexa: "I beg you. Don't take it out on Ava! Olivia! Please, don't send her to reform school!"
Olivia "Do you think that I would not figure it out? How long did you think you could carry on this facade?"
Alexa: "What are you talking about, Olivia?"
Olivia: "You can stop the acting. I know who you really are. Be glad I didn't tell my husband. You could be arrested?"
Alexa: "How long have you known? Why haven't you said something to me earlier?"
Olivia: "I thought it would do the girl good to have her real mother be her nanny. While I go to work and be mom when it best suited me."
Alexa: "You are evil, Olivia! Pure evil!"
Olivia: "I don't think I am that bad of a person, Alexa. I mean, Audrey. That's right! Audrey Christianson. I knew all about you. I hired a private investigator to find out more about the woman that my husband hired as a nanny."
Audrey: "Why take your discontent of me, out on Ava?"
Olivia: "I have to teach little Ava who her real mommy is. She's bonded with you and I want to nip that in the butt."
Audrey: "I will go. I don't want to see Ava cry anymore. My heart won't be whole until Ava and I are reunited."
{It has been five years since Ava last saw Audrey. Ava's real mother. Ava is still angry about having to lose the one she called mother. Today, Ava finds out Alexa's Secret.}
Audrey: "Psst! Hey! Ava!"
Ava: "Alexa! I thought I would never see you again!."
Audrey: "I have something to tell you. Listen to me closely. I haven't much time. Your parents should be arriving soon to take you home."
Ava: "Okay, Alexa! I'll listen."
Audrey: "First, my name is not Alexa. My name is Audrey. I am your birth mother. I gave you life. I carried you for 9 months. The Rhodes Family adopted you. I thought I would never see you again. I never planned on telling you. Not like this. Now you have to pay for my deception. I'm so sorry, Ava. I love you, baby girl."
Ava: "I'm numb. I'm speechless. For some odd reason, I never felt like the Rhodes' were my parents. You are my real mother. I knew it! I can never be mad at you!"
{Audrey and Ava hug each other for what seems like hours. The Rhodes' will soon arrive to take Ava home. Ava's time at the reform school is done.}
Audrey: "Oh no! Here comes the Rhodes'. I love you, and I always will."
Ava: "I love you too, mom."
Olivia: "Who are you talking to, Ava?"
Ava: "Oh no one, mommy."
Olivia "Get in the car, Ava. England waits for us."
Ava "What do you mean?
Olivia: "Your father and I decided to move to England. Doesn't that sound great?"
Ava: "No! You can't do this. Mom! Help me! They are trying to get me to move to England."
Audrey: "I'm not losing you again, Ava! I won't let them!"
Olivia: "I thought I got rid of the trash!"
{Olivia shoves Ava into the backseat and pushes the driever to the passenger side and takes off. Ava is out of it. Olivia sees Audrey and runs her down. Audrey is dead. They arrive to their mansion and prepare to leave the country Ava starts coming to.}
Ava: "What did you do to my mom, Olivia?"
Olivia: "Don't call me Olivia! I am your mommy!"
Ava: "You are not my mother. You are a fake. You and Skyler adopted me. I know all about it."
Olivia "She told you lies. I am your real mother.... I give up.... Fine... So she's your real mother. She's dead now. What do you plan on doing now?"
Ava: "How did she die? Did you kill her?"
Olivia: "I ran her over and it felt good. I am finally free of her. I don't have to worry about losing you ever again!"
Ava: "No! How could you! You monster!"
Olivia: "I did it because I love you. She wanted to take you away from me!"
Ava: "You don't know the first thing about being a mother. I feel a rage overcoming me. I want to destroy!"
Olivia "Calm down, Ava. Your eyes. Your eyes are like flames. What's happening to you?"
Ava: "I feel powerful. I feel rage. *TOWERING BLAZE*You are going to pay!"
Olivia: "What have you become? Ava! What are you!"
Ava: "I give you moments to get out of here. This is my home now. You are not welcome here anymore!"
Olivia: "But! But! How can a ten year-old survive on her own?"
Ava: "Not for you to worry! Go! Now! Or die!"
Olivia: "I will leave. Nothing will keep me from finding you someday. I'll just give you some space to cool down."
Ava: "In your dreams, woman. Come near me and watch what happens."
Olivia "I will see you later. Bye. Ava."
Ava: "I will let you live this day. Cross my path again and face my rage!"
