Things That Piss Us Off
Ok, so many things just get on our nerves. And we aren't talking about the BSB, it's the things other people say about them that pisses us off. Like the whole "gay" thing. How retarded is that!?! We all know they are not gay but that's not the point. When people use that as an excuse to not liking them, that is ridiculous. And what if they were? Does that mean they do not deserve to be successful? And it pisses us off even more when other famous people say it. Like on Craig Kilborn he made a joke "the softer and gayer side of Sears." What is the point to that? And how come all those other guy bands are never thought of as gay? Orgy wears makeup! And the family values tour was a whole group of guys travelling around together. So how come they aren't considered gay? We hate that! And some people say that's why they don't like them. Go up to most teen guys and ask if they like BSB and they will say, "no their gay!" And when you tell them that the BSB have girlfriends, they say "that's just a cover." So let's set the record straight. The boys are not gay. And people who are gay should not be discriminated against because of that. And that really is a good comment if you think of it's real meaning. In the dictionary it means happy. And in the beginning of the Flinstones their song has the word gay in it and it certainly isn't referring to sexual orientation. Our answer is, the guys who start saying they are gay are just jealous. The BSB could basically have any girl they want and that makes other guys jealous.
We also hate when bands like Limp Bizkit and Korn make fun of BSB and say that BSB's songs are not real music. Ok, first of all, all of Korn's songs sound exactly the same and all he does is scream. And second of all, everyone has different music tastes so why can't it just be left alone. And it is ok for someone to like BSB and Limp Bizkit. It shouldn't be a big deal. And whenever the BSB are asked about groups like Korn they always say something nice about them and how much they respect them. So the guys from those groups should just be respectful if nothing else. Like at Woodstock, The Offspring put the boys faces on dummies and knocked them down with a baseball bat. Is that really necessary? Why can't they all just be civil? The Boys are always extra nice about other artists so I think they should be left alone. And if you like BSB and the Offspring, that's ok. It shouldn't be a problem. When Nsync was retired once on TRL, Carson asked their fans what they would vote for instead and they said Limp Bizkit and he was so surprise. It just shouldn't be like that.
Another thing that got on our nerves was how so many people freaked when Nick said dumbass on Mtv. Ok, he's human. We all slip and swear even when we know we shouldn't. He IS A NORMAL GUY! We actually found it a little funny. I understand they are thought of as role models but him doing that just showed that no one is perfect and no one should think they are. So if they swear once in a blue moon, don't flip out. They are just being themselves. It is not like every other word out of their mouth is a swear, then we wouldn't like it. But they have been in the group for like six years and one little mess up is NOT that bad, that's actually pretty good. And another thing I don't understand is, AJ's solo is very sexual:"you can get all inside me and I can get all in inside you too." And he humps the floor. How come everyone thought that was cool even though there were probably more little kids at one of their concerts than there were watching Mtv. Cuz I know young kids who love BSB and their parents don't allow them to watch Mtv. So if people want to flip out, why didn't anyone get offended by AJ's actions at their concerts? Not that you should, but it's the same type of thing like Nick swearing. And "ass" is allowed to be said on TV so parents should just pay more attention to what their kids watch and all the fans need to laugh it off and realize that the BOYS ARE HUMAN!
Ok, we are really starting to get pissed about Nsync. First of all, just because we like BSB DOES NOT mean we like Nsync, boyzone, or any other groups like that. Second of all, we always felt that Nsync were BSB wannabes, and here's why. First of all, they basically stole BSB's management. Second of all, their song titles sound the same like "I Wanna Be With You" and "I Want You Back," "I'll Never Break Your Heart" and "Tearin Up My Heart." Those are just a few of the many. Another reason is each Nsync member is a clone of a BSB member. Justin and Nick, thats the most obvious one. Joey wants to be like AJ with his hair dye and tattoos. Chris stole AJ's hair idea with the dreads but he's like Howie with his high voice and he isn't a big favorite (we love Howie, we are just making a point). JC and Brian are alike cuz they both sing A LOT in their group and are the "goody goodies" of the group but deep down they really aren't. And Lance and Kevin are alike cuz neither of them sing a lot but in interviews they talk A LOT. And if you have seen the commercial for Nsync on PPV, again you will see similarities. First of all, BSB was on PPV first, BSB flew first, and Nsync are wearing suits and hats that look exactly like BSB's AIHTG outfits. Thats not biting off of BSB at all (sarcasm)!
This whole "boy band" stereotype is really gettin on our nerves! Backstreet Boys ARE NOT A BOY BAND! Unknown to lots of people (mostly non-fans and haters) is that the Backstreet Boys do actually play instruments, write songs and music, and produce and do musical arrangements for their albums. Just because they are five white guys that sing pop/r&b music should not always place them into that stereotype. There are lots of rock bands with only four or five members that are all "white" boys. Now we are not trying to sound racist cuz we're not, but that's how people define boy bands. Boyz II Men didn't start writing their own songs til their second or third album and never play instruments yet they never had to deal with all the hatred and stereotyping like the Backstreet Boys go through. And some of the songs on Millennium have a lot of rock in them like Larger Than Life and Don't Want You Back. We wish more people would read this cuz we know most of you are fans and probably agree with us, but if you know someone who always disses them as just a "gay boy band", send them a link to this page. Maybe more people will get the idea. Now we are not saying those people have to like them, but the least they can do is give them the respect they deserve and at least admit they are talented.
We are really getting fed up with people who go to BSB message boards and say BSB Suck or are gay or whatever. And they always say their not a real band cuz they don't play instruments and yadda yadda yadda. How many times can we explain to these people that the Backstreet Boys do write their own songs and know how to play instruments. And if you don't like BSB, why do you to a BSB board? The people who continuously do this, seriously need to GET A LIFE and GROW UP! It's one thing not to like them, but respect them as artists and leave it at that. And if they actually knew anything about them, then they would know how wrong they are. And then they say the guys don't play instruments in their videos therefore they don't know how. Why should they have too? WHy should they need to prove themselves to anyone? Their fans are happy, so deal with it. And the guys always say how much they respect and like groups like Korn and Limp Bizkit, so why can't those groups and their fans have the same respect? Ugh, we're glad to get that off our chests, knowing you all probably agree with us. Big sigh of relief...
Nsync moving to Jive records, what the hell is that? Could they want to be like BSB anymore? This is so freakin annoying. BSB already tried to rid themselves of Nsync once when they left their management, now they have to do it again. Sources say BSB has left Jive cuz they were in breach of contract, and can you blame them? Both groups are always saying how different they are, but Nsync continues to follow and copy BSB. Leave them the f*ck alone already. Of all the record labels in the world, why Jive? Really, there are so many. BSB are so much better and deserve better then the treatment they are getting. We hope that RCA fights it to the point that Nsync's new album can't come out for a while, cuz eventually their fans will ditch them. They really need to get their own lives and stop trying to be BSB.
BSB had the top selling album of 1999 and yet there are still people saying they don't deserve artist of the year and that their music is meaningless. Why can't people just accept the fact that they are five talented men who work really hard for everything they have and deserve all the praise they get? I don't see how singing about love, heartache, their fans, their mothers, lonliness, how is that all meaningless? It is certainly better then singing about drugs and killing people. And music since the day it started has been about love and heartbreak. Elvis, The Beatles, Madonna, Janet Jackson, they all sing about love. And there are also a lot more fans then just teenage girls cuz they would not have sold as many albums as they did if it was just a bunch of 10 year olds. The truth of the matter is that guys, young and old, parents, grandparents, toddlers, they all like BSB. We understand if people don't like their music but respect them for being artists. IS that so much to ask?
When is Nsync gonna get a freakin identity of their own???? Heard BYE BYE BYE yet? It's the new Nsync song and it's exactly like Don't Want You Back. The words, the beats, all of it. I actually heard JC explain the song, this is what he said: "It's about a girl who burns you and then wants you back and you don't." Could that be any more like DWYB? How pathetic are they? And then they are telling all their fans to buy more then one CD so they can beat BSB's record. How sad is that? That's really pathetic. I doubt they can beat 1.3 million in the first week. It's unbelievable that fans of Nsync don't see the similarites. It's so obvious and pathetic. UGH!!!! And when Lou Pearlman started Nsync, he tried to hide it from BSB cuz he knew they would be mad. But Nsync knew about BSB and knew that what they were doing was exactly like BSB and they didn't object to that. It's so ungrateful of Lou Pearlman to do that to five talented guys who made him lots of money to betray them like that. They both need to go away!
What the hell is up with all this Nsync mania?!?!? BSB didn't even promote Millennium this much!!! Nsync is freakin everywhere. Their new album better not beat BSB's record, cuz they don't deserve it. I know BSB did television appearances and stuff too, but not as much as this. Who is Nsync paying? Because even on the radio, they play BYE BYE BYE like every 20 minutes, and that's not exaggerating at all. Nsync must be giving them something to promote them this much. No group is as much as this. And it's not like we're purposely watching stuff for Nsync. The commercials on MTV are on every single commercial break. It's so freaking annoying! It seems like they have too much time on their hands. Like on the video fued, Nsync had to put their two cents in about why they should be voted for. That certainly wasn't needed. They are suck-ups and losers and we really wish they would go away. OH, and one more thing, Justin really needs to cut his hair! He looks like sh*t!
****What the hell is wrong with MTV? Tuesday, July 31, Bryan McFadden went on for an hour and half on trl about huge BSB news that had to do with the future of the group. Of course all BSB fans are freaking and then the news chick comes on and says she can't confirm anything but I can tell you Nick is touring with Aaron. No really? We've known that for months! So we had to wait another day to find out what it was all about. If they weren't 100% sure about their news story, they shouldn't have hyped it up the whole sure and made it sound like something bad. They probably gave some fans nervous breakdowns. They could of said "possible BSB news today" or something to that idea. We're guessing though that someone got in trouble or got a lot of hatemail after that because the next day they did the news at the beginning of the show, made it sound like it was just regular news, and the news girl apologized. Well that's what they get for freaking out fans and using potentially big news stories to keep people watching and then having nothing to report. They deserved all the mail they got about that and it would of been really messed up if they didn't apologize.
