Backstreet TV (May 18, 1999) When We Were There!!!

• "We're Back." That was cute when Nick did that.
• "This is overwhelming." Why? It happened just two days before.
• I wonder what happened for the cops to tell them they are not allowed to look out the window. And Brian telling us the bathroom story, it seems we know a little too much now.
• Kevin talks too much!
• The girls that went shopping in the Virgin Mega Store-they were crazy. And they weren't the first ones to buy the CD cuz at the Virgin store they had the imports(which had a 2cd case) at least two weeks before the release date. And of course we had it then.
• When Brian started his thank you that girl yelled out "you welcome" and when he finished he was thanking MTV. That girl must have felt dumb then.
• "We did a big virgin..." that is just the perfect sentence to have cut off!
• Kevin never lets Nick talk!
• What was with Kevin's stupid face?
• AJ was cute doing his little dance.
• Kevin's non-stop talking makes him call the wrong person dead. What an a$$!
• Nick should never be asked to explain a meaning of a song! Ever!
• The chick who asks the first question thinks everyone is screaming for her and their not. They are screaming at the question itself which she was told to ask.
• I'm guessing SPECTRAVISION is the European equivalent of Pay Per View and/or pron stations.
• Kevin and Nick found that a little too funny.

• I hated the girls that were laughing while AJ was talking about fighting against violence. That was very rude.

• They showed AJ humping the stage and that was the first time we saw it.
• They must like AJ and his pelvic thrusts.

• "Kevin your muscles are rockin ok I love you!" Wow that girl was crazy, and she was loud!
• "Censored!" "Word" Waddup?" That was really cool how they put all those words together.

  BSB UltraSound-The One on Ones

  Just when you think you can't love the guys anymore, MTV puts together a great show that let's you see the deeper side of BSB, and it made us bigger fans(if that's actually possible), as it probably did for you too. If you didn't get to see it, go here. Trust us, you won't be disappointed. Here's our thoughts on such an awesome idea.
  
  Kevin Richardson
  Now for all the funny things we do say about him, we do see all the good in him too. He's so intelligent, strong, and mature. He's had to deal with a lot in his life for someone so young and is still grounded and successful. It's also understandable why he is like the father in the group. He understands that life is short, and not to take things for granted. He may be too serious at times, but he has good intentions. And he is so mature when talking about their old managers. He may be angry, but he has every right to be. The guys didn't need those managers if they didn't care for them, they were all business and schedule things without consulting the guys at all. How can you blame any of them for being angry? He is definitely a good role model and deserves all the happiness and success that he gets.
  
  Brian Littrell
  I don't think there is any reason you can't like Brian. He's cute, intelligent, strong in his values, extremely talented, and very loving. No matter what happens to him, he never loses his faith in God. How can you not love that? He also put his life on the line for BSB, all the fans should be grateful and appreciative of that. He postponed his surgery twice because of their managers and then went back on tour only 8 weeks after his surgery. People still wonder why they dropped their old managers. Well, Brian has some good reasons. They planned everything without the boys and basically nothing could stand in the way, not even the guys' health. Brian must of been so scared to have perform so soon after his surgery, and having to use oxygen tanks to keep himself breathing in between songs. How can you not love and respect him or that?
  
  AJ Mclean
  "On stage, AJ sells sex. Off stage however, AJ is romantically linked to one woman." I think most of knew that but it was pretty weird that they did talk about his girlfriend and no one elses. But he is not getting married. It was a good lead into his relationship, or lack there of, with his father. AJ was raised by his mom and grandparents his whole life, so at 22 years old, his father should not expect him to just jump back into his life. AJ is so brave to talk about that, and strong to not let it negatively effect him. It's hard to know your father only lives 15 minutes away yet chooses to have nothing to do with you until you become famous. AJ seems to be handling it all very well though. He is so sweet, loving, grateful, and loyal to his mom. And most people would agree that you can't fix things in that type situation. It is hard when someone like Kevin lost a great father, but people also need to realize that you don't need some fathers around when their not there for the right reasons. We love AJ so much and give him so much credit for handling this all so well and for being strong and brave about the whole situation and we hope he continues to be happy and successful!
  
  Howie Dorough
  Howie has such a big, loving, close family so losing his sister had to be one of the hardest things he's ever had to deal with. Yet he remains upbeat, hard working, and strong. He is also doing so much to help people with lupus, which is what his sister died of. He also had to leave right after the funeral to do a concert with BSB. Fans should be so grateful for how much these guys really do for us fans. No one should have to leave a situation like that. But Howie is still a strong believer in God and still very close to his family. He also helps another one of his sisters with her singing career. He still manages to make as many appearances as possible and never lets a fan down. He definitely deserves his nickname "Sweet D" and will always be special to all BSB fans.
  
  Nick Carter
  Now we know we make fun of him a lot and he does say lots of silly things. But when it comes to the really important things like him and his family, he is very smart and articulate. When asked about his relationship with his mom and the problems they were having, he refused to talk about it. He did not want to exploit his mother even though she may have done it to him in the past. How great is he? But he also understands that when you are in this business, people know more about you then you want them too and it's something you have to deal with. He was very nice about wanting to keep his relationships with family and girlfriends private, but he did so nicely that you have to respect him for it. He also has got a lot of offers to go solo. But he is very happy with what he is doing at the moment. So he doesn't let those things get to him. "I'm at one with what I'm doing right now." Meaning he loves being a Backstreet Boy and nothing anyone says can change that. You gotta love this guy.
