Wedding Bells Rang For Two of the Backstreet Boys
As most of you know by now, Kevin and Brian made official statements on MTV's TRL on Wednesday February 16, 2000 that they are both engaged. Kevin married first in July and then Brian in September. As for who the women are, Brian married his long-time girlfriend Leighanne Wallace and Kevin married his girlfriend Kristin who he dated on and off for seven years. We are sure a lot of fans are devastated, and jealous, but we have to look at this in a good way. Many of you probably know our thoughts on Leighanne. We have something to say about that. Everything we ever said about her was based on looks only. We never got to meet her. So obviously she is doing something right if Brian wants to spend the rest of his life with her. We've already taken down most of the girlfriend stuff on the site. As we find more, we will take that stuff down too. The reason is because these girls didn't ask to be thrown into the spotlight and already get enough crap from jealous fans at concerts, sites, etc. So we don't want to make this time in their life even harder. As for Kevin, during his interview, he looked the happiest he has been in a long time. He never looked so happy and excited in his career so we should all feel the same way for him. Now we can't say we aren't jealous, cuz we would take Leighanne's place any day. But we also realize that they are regular guys who deserve to be happy, and no matter what, we will always love them. Cuz ya know what people? LIFE GOES ON!
Many people are also worried that this might break up the group but it WON'T! They have all had girlfriends for a big part of their life as Backstreet Boys. And all that time they were able to work it all out. So there's no reason that they can't do the same thing now. But everyone also has to realize that they can only be a group for so long. One day, probably a very long time from now, they will all go their separate ways and come back together every once in a while. Thats no reason to hate them or blame their wives or whatever. Just be happy for what they decide to do now and in the future. Cuz if you love them as much as you say you do, whatever makes them happy should make you happy too.
