Chapter 3
She stood then, turning to me and entering a bedroom where she preceded to
change into some dark clothing. I tried to pick up the gun to hide it, but
found that I couldn't. So I did the second best thing, I started removing the
bullets, even though I could only get two out by the time she returned I
hoped that it would buy a little more time. My next mission, to somehow slow
her down until I can alarm the Richardsons.
I disarmed the battery to her small red Echo and waited for CeCe to exit the
house. When she did, I let the door open freely (my second idea was to lock
her keys in, but I changed my mind) and get inside. She tried to turn on the
car and found it wouldn't start. I knew it wouldn't be long before she
figured it out.
I flew (yes flew) to the house I knew to be Kevin and his wife Kristen's. I
noticed the alarm had been disarmed and Kevin had a repairman trying to fix
it. For some reason it wouldn't work, so I used my version of repair. I
learned this technique on my third mission I ever did; I called it 'Instant
prayer'. If I wanted something to work a certain way (example a door become
locked, power to go out, an alarm to work right ECT.) I could pray for it and
it would change to suit the situation. I used that here, causing the alarm to
spring to life shortly after I separated my hands.
The repairman was paid and left; Kevin returned to his dinner inside. They
would have never noticed the young lady entering the parking lot across the
street. CeCe had gotten her car to work and had driven across town to this
famous man's home.
I knew that CeCe was waiting for nightfall to make her move, I waited on the
roof, watching from above as the sun set over the ocean. I made the gate a
bit louder than normal, and a sprinkler system he had in his yard to go off
earlier, and some outdoor lights to flash on when she came near.
When darkness fell, and the clocks ticked 12, CeCe left her car, leaving it
unlocked (which I quickly solved for her) and slowly slipped across the
street carrying the gun she so dearly cleaned earlier that day.
I watched in horror as she slipped almost soundlessly into the yard and up to
the front door. 'Please work please' I thought to myself as she tried to
break in. The front lights turned on and a light in the living room turned
on, Kevin emerged from the background carrying a glass. He ran his hands
through his hair before stopping in front of the window where there was a
sink where he placed the glass.
The sprinklers turned on then, causing the grass on which CeCe was standing
to become slippery. She didn't seam to notice and snuck up under the window.
Kristen soon came down and went to grab something to drink.
CeCe raised her gun aiming it at the blonde beauty in the window. I slipped
inside and whispered to her "move girl, or you wont again." I meant for it to
scare her, and it did, she thought she just thought it, but she moved just as
a small bullet shot through the glass and just missed her blonde hair.
