CHAPTER 2

Zoe layed in bed that night thinking about the days events and hoping Celina wouldn't get suspicious that she only wore her "contacts" at night.The McDonalds food hadn't satisfied her hunger the slightest bit. But of course nothing would do that but blood. She hoped Cole would bring her something by the following night or she would have to go looking herself. She rarely ever went hunting alone. Either Cole would bring her something or he would go with her. She finally quit thinkin and went to sleep. The next morning: "Zoe, Zoe wake up." said a familiar voice. "Hhhmmm." Zoe mumbled. "Wake up Zoe. Come on." said the voice. Zoe opened her eyes and then sat straight up in bed. "Cole!" she cried. "What are you doing her?" "You said come soon. Is this too soon?" he asked. "No! Oh my gosh I missed you. Did you bring me anything?" she asked desperately. "Come with me." he said. She followed him to the kitchen where Eric was sitting at the kitchen table eating waffles. "Hey Zoe." he said. "Hey Eric. Have you guys seen Celina?" she asked them. "The shower was running when we got here." said Cole. "I went to go in there but it wasn't your scent so I figured you were in the other bedroom." "Hhmm, too bad. Celina would have had the shock of her life." Zoe laughed. "Who are you talking to, Zoe?" Celina said as she walked into the kitchen with nothing but her towel around her. She looked up and saw Cole and Eric and ran back to her room screaming. "Why didn't you tell me we had company?" she yelled. "You didn't ask!" Zoe yelled back. "Wow." said Eric. "She's really pretty." "Oh no you don't!" said Zoe. "She is completely off limits to you. Understand? She's mortal Eric. You're not." she said the last part quietly. "Hey Zoe." said Cole. "Huh?" said Zoe. "Here you go." he handed her a glass with a thick red liquid in it. Zoe drank it quickly. Her green eyes sparkled and the thirst went away. "Feel better?" he asked. "Much." she answered. "What are you doing today?" he asked. "I have a class in 30 minutes and I think Celina has some plans so you and Eric are free to do whatever. Celina will pick me up at 11:00 and we'll meet back here at 11:00. Sound good?" she asked. "Yeah that's fine." he said. 30 minutes later "Don't forget to pick me up at 11:00 okay?" Zoe said. "Alright, for the 1 millionth time I won't forget you." said Celina. The girls said bye and Celina drove away. At 11:00: Celina pulled up just as Zoe got out of class. "Ok, hurry and get to the dorm. The guys are waiting there for us." said Zoe. "You really like this Cole guy don't you?" Celina asked. "Yeah, we've been together for a year." said Zoe. "His friend is pretty cute." said Celina. "I'm telling you, you don't wanna get with Eric. He'll just get you in trouble." said Zoe. Just then the radio dj came on and announced a contest to win tickets for the upcoming Backstreet Boys concert in Orlando next weekend. "That's right! The first person to call 555-1234 and correctly answer these 5 questions will win 4 1st row center tickets to the Backstreet Boys concert this Saturday night at the Colliseum." announced the DJ. Celina got her cell phone out and dialed the radiostation. "This is 94.3 KMVP LIVE and you're the first caller. What's your name?"the DJ asked. "Celina Lopez." she answered. "Well, Celina, are you ready for your 1st quesion?" he asked. "Yes." she answered. "Ok, here goes. What is AJ's zodiac sign?" he asked. "Oh my gosh! Zoe what is it?" Celina asked. "Um, it's Sagittarius. Wait no! It's Capricorn! Yeah that's it!" she answered. "It's Capricorn." Celina told the DJ. "Correct! #2. Can you name every song on Millenium?" asked the DJ. "Yes." Celina said. "You got the trick question! That means I'm adding 2 all access backstage passes if you answer the rest of the questions correctly." said the DJ. "We're going backstage!!" Celina and Zoe screamed excitedly. "Ok next question. Give one nickname of each of the boys." said the DJ. "Ok let me think. Um, Nick is frack and Brian is Frick. AJ is Bone, Howie is Sweet D., and Kevin is .....what is Kevin, Zoe?" Celina asked. "Train!" said Zoe. "Kevin is Train!" Celina said. "Yes! Ok girls, 3 down 2 to go! Next question. What is the name of the girl that Brian wrote his solo "That's what she said" for?" "Samantha." she answered. "You're on a roll. Ok, last question. What's your favorite radiostation?" asked the DJ. "94.3 KMVP!" Celina and Zoe screamed. "Guess what Celina? You and 3 other people are going to see the Backstreet Boys this weekend at the Colliseum! And two of you will go backstage!" he said. "And there's more. You said you can name every song on Millenium right?" "Yes." Celina answered. "Well if you can name all 12 in the correct order, I'll add 2 more all access backstage passes and all of you can go backstage. Can you do that?" he asked. "Of course." Celina said confidently. "Zoe, find the cd case!" she whispered. "It's not here!" said Zoe panicking. "Celina? Are you ready?" asked the DJ. "Yes, okay um 1 is Larger Than Life. 2 is I Want It That Way. 3 is Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely. 4 is It's Gotta Be You. 5 is I Need You Tonight. 6 is Don't Want You Back. 7 is uummm..... 7 is Don't Wanna Lose You Now! Okay, 8 is The One. 9 is Back To Your Heart. 10 is Spanish Eyes. 11 is No One Else Comes Close and 12 is The Perfect Fan!" she said. "You've done it! You and your friends have 4 tickets and 4 backstage passes. Come by the radiostation with your I.D. to pick them up." explained the DJ. "Thank you, bye." said Celina.
