My Declaration of Love |
As if I even have to go into detail, there
are a few distinct reasons as to why I love these guys as much as I
do. A list? You want a list? Alright. Now, when reading
this you must take into account that: |
In choosing to do a list, there are
many possible ways to accomplish this. |
| Arms. For these two very reasons at the right, "A" is for arms. Um, some of you may know, arms are my weakness. It's a sickness, I've come to terms with it, and I'm seeking theropy. JTA - You've been a great help...;-). |
Bass. I've tried to fight it, but yes, I have a weakness for this green eyed cutie. Why? Well, are you looking at him? Ok, tell me what you see... Yeah, I thought so. |
| Chasez. You might've guessed, but why would I want to disappoint you? Granted, the boy's fine, but he's got this power that completely drags me in. I started crying at his verse of 'This I Promise You' when I saw them in concert. Does anyone else feel this way, or am I really more deranged than I previously thought? |
Digital Getdown. Pure and simple, horny boys gettin' it on for the world to see... in pure PG-13 fashion, of course. ;-) |
| Earplugs. If you've ever been to an *Nsync concert, you KNOW that "earplugs" are an asset to enjoying the actual music of their concerts, and NOT the screaming 12-year-olds. (Ok, ok...I'm bad too!) |
Fatone. Did you see that one coming? Probably. The Italian Stallion, how could we possibly leave him out? I think Joey gets looked over a lot. His voice is absolutely and positively amazing. And should I even go into his sense of humor?! I love a guy who can make me laugh! |
| Girlfriends. That's right, I said the "G" word. GIRLFRIENDS. I thank to the guys for having girlfriends, for having lives, for being real. (Come on gals, really they're too fine NOT to have chicks in their lives!) Whoever they may be, obviously these lucky ladies make the guys happy, and that's all that matters. Unless they're mean, cheating, manipulative gals.....then ANY guys would HAVE to ditch her... 'ya know what I'm sayin'?! |
Humble. When all is said and done, they are just five normal guys who are doing what they love to do. The cool thing about these guys, is that they act this way too. They are totally unaffected by their fame, and I love that about them. |
| Inconsistency. Ok, mainly JC's. I can't help it! Really, well, you know, it's, um, like, so, you know, um....adorable!!!! |
Justin. Yes, the fan favorite at last. Admittedly, he's not my favorite, but close. Ok, quick! Word association: "Justin Timberlake"......BEAUTY! Honestly, this man has it. He's got it all baby! That boy next door charm that makes EVERYONE just love him, the sex appeal that, well...use your imagination and the curls. Yep, I'm a sucker for the curls (although the shaved head appealed to me too...damn...). |
| Kirkpatrick. Perhaps the most outwardly funny people that is not a stand-up comedian. I don't know where he comes up with some stuff, but really, what would appearances be without him? And right here, right now, I'd like to express my gratitude to Chris himself for getting these five immeasurable bodies of talent together. |
Learn me. Or anything else adorable that they say. Anyone ever notice that even the dumbest things ever said sound cute coming from them? |
| Music. Of course the #1 thing that always keeps me coming back for more. Their individual talent is beyond possible comprehension, and putting five doses of that together add up to something that, I'm sure, even they don't realize. |
No Refund. Hehe. What fan could possibly forget the awesome SNL skit that the guys did? I know it's a key moment in my *Nsync fan-dom!!! |
| On The Line. Yep, the movie that was squashed. For one, I LOVED this movie. I thank Lance and Joey for making it and I think that they have something to be proud of. For the record guys...the movie rocked!! |
Photo shoots gone bad. Let's face it, some of these older shoots are just WRONG!! Love 'em for it, you bet. Everyone has embarrassing pictures, they just have them published in teeny mags. HeHe! |
| Quirks. Didn't think I'd come up with one for "Q" did ya? Gotcha. Yes, quirks. I look for them. (I'm obsessed and sad, remember?) I like the way JC points his finger when singing the high notes of 'This I Promise You'. I like the way Lance never sits fully on his stool and always looks like he's ready to get up and leave. And I love the ways they try to do stupid things, but look adorable in the process. |
Respect. As much as we respect them, they respect us. They respect the fact that sometimes we're a little crazy (although sometimes I'd like to know what they really think...). But in the spirit of respect, don't you think they deserve more from people other than their fans? |
| Sempiternal. Huh? Vocabulary lesson: "of never-ending duration, eternal." I think this might describe the crazy fans' worship. I love these guys. And I hope that 10 years from now, when I'm over the age of 30 I can still share their music with my kids. They're not a fad, I think they've proved that by now. I, for one, couldn't be happier. |
This I Promise You. My all-time favorite *Nsync song. Maybe it's the fact that it's written by Richard Marx (::raises hand:: Richard freak!! Richard freak!!). But the harmonies, the words...damn. I cried. Did you hear me...I cried during this song live!!! That's why this gets special mention, it's deserving. |
| Underestimated. You hear it all the time. Media tends to trash them. What I love about this? They break through it. Critics put down NSA... they break every record made. Critics still shot down Celebrity.. they break records and have the 2nd highest selling album in history, 2nd to only their own record the year before. So to all the media, critics and non-fans....So There! |
Versatile. Justin sings, acts, beat-boxes. Lance owns a production co., acts. Chris is a fashion designer, ceo of his own clothing line. Joey sings, acts. JC sings (boy does he ever), writes, produces. Is there anything these boys can't do? |
| Whoa! Their talent? Whoa! Cuteness? Whoa! Ability to make me smile at the singing of a note? Whoa! The whole package? Way whoa! |
X-citement! (I know, I cheated...) There is not one performance that I don't look forward to seeing. I love to hear these guys sing. They do what they love, and they do it well. |
| Youth. For always acting like the young people that they are. Let's face it, they are way beyond their years in success, but yet, they manage to act normal and not as if they're 50 year old men. |
Zilch. Nada. Zero. There is nothing, nothing, about these boys that I don't like. They have their faults, and they're not afraid to admit that. They're human... Thank God. |
There it is. My list of obsession. What this all boils down to is the utter-most respect and admiration of these five guys. I say I love them, and sure, I do. But what really matters is that they make me smile. A song of theirs comes on the radio and I turn it up and sing along. Their name is mentioned, and my ears stand at attention. I know it sounds crazy, but honestly, they've helped me get through some periods in my life. Good and bad. Whether they know it or not, they help people, and not just through their various charities. Everyday, someone listens to one of their albums, and I'm sure feels a little bit better about themselves. It's their way.... they can't help it. I, for one, am glad. |
