What can I say, the movie is absolutely amazing and is the most entertaining movie I have seen yet. Evan is just so pleasant to look at, so are the other guys. I truly believe imitation is the highest form of flattering. Thus, being a devoted Backstreet Boys fan, I am not even slightly being offended by the mockery. You know everything in the movie is true. When BSB first started, they were trained to answer questions just like 2gether did in the movie. Westlife, who had four #1 singles in UK and managed by the lead singer, Ronan Keating, from Boyzone, the most successfully boy group in Europe, had to sign a contract promising that they would not have girlfriends for three years or so. I really think the movie accurately portraits the formation of boybands, and as brutally as it might sound, the task is easy. Just find the right types of guys that are needed in a boyband who wouldn’t sing off pitch, there you go, a boyband is formed.
As for the movie itself, I really had some great laughs. Whoa! And the “yo girl” commercial, how cheesy is that?! The exaggerated portrait of Whoa! Is just another clever way to persuade the audience that there are good boybands out there, such as 2gether, but at the same time, there are boybands like Whoa!.
I absolutely love Evan’s acting throughout the movie. He has such an incredible voice, especially when he sings “You’re My Baby Girl.” He looks fly in that scene. How sweet and thoughtful is he for taking the time to make a collage for his girlfriend to show his loyalty and faith?! Can’t believe Erin can just tear it apart. I would sleep with it if Evan ever made me a gift like that. The arm-wrestled part is definitely my favorite. I didn’t know Evan is not only good-looking, he is also very buff. I love the way he looks in those tank tops. (yum!) By the way, can I just comment on how cute he looks when he’s mad?! Love that. Furthermore, the way he kisses his girlfriend, Erin, is so cute. How romantic! Who wouldn’t be falling in love with a charismatic guy like Evan? Before I forget, I got to say bravo to Lauren Smith, the actress who plays Erin. She is such a beautiful girl and I would like to see her in more films. Last but not the least, I love all the outfits Evan has worn in the movie, especially the gray sweater in the last scene. Even though I love everything about Evan, but the hair-do he has in the very end of the movie, where he is getting make-up and stuffs, has got to go!
All the other members of 2gether did a fantastic job as well. I grew to like Noah after watching the movie. He is a cutie. Alex is really good at what he does, Michael is such a cute boy, and I like Kevin’s personality a lot, especially when he does his solo act on stage.
Overall, 2gether is definitely a movie that is on the top of my list when I want to have a party with my friends. I am just so glad to see Evan, Noah, Alex, Michael, and Kevin achieving such great accomplishments and fulfilling their dreams. I am proud to say that I am a 2gether fan. Most importantly, I am proud to be a fan of the talented Evan Farmer.
