This might get lengthy because I'm still on a high from the big event this afternoon. I'll give you pretty much a play by play although a lot of it is boring and I'm sure this will get lengthy due to my excitement.

I get out of school at 1 pm. (I'm a senior and I have the last two periods free) and hung around for about 45 minutes watching the preperations. More than a dozen police officers walked around working security and I cannot tell you how exciting the whole thing was. I am friends with the daughter of our assistant principal and offered to pick her and her brother up from their school to bring them to West to see the concert.

As I pulled out of the parking lot, the limo with the band pulled in! So I see it as I was the first to see them! We got back to school and I was allowed backstage with the press to meet and take pictures, videos, and talk with the band. Honestly, what a bunch of guys. They were the nicest, most personable people you could imagine. I took a bunch of pictures (I tried to take many of Evan for you), but even better than the pictures in my view is the video I got of them. I videotaped the entire press conference and the concert! As you will see in the video, Evan talked a great deal and was more or less the leader (needless to say, all the girls at West thought he was gorgeous). So I got back there about 20 minutes before the press conference began and was going down the line seeing if I knew everyone's name. I got to Evan and said to a girl in front of me, "that's Evan right". He overheard and we talked for a couple minutes. I told him how I had come across your website a couple nights ago and he commented on what an amazing site it was. I told him I had said I would take pictures of him for the site and he asked if it was you (he referred to you by name Joanna) that I was talking about. Then we proceeded into the auditorium.

I wasn't in the front row, but I had an even better view. I was in the area in front of the front row and videotaped the entire concert. Because of that, the only pics I know I have of Evan are from before and possibly after the concert. A friend of mine took pictures with my camera during the concert and I don't know whether or not she got any pics of Evan. The concert consisted of three songs but was still something I will never forget. Afterwards, a number of students and children of faculty got to meet and get autographs from the band. That was crazy because they had a flight to catch to New York so it was really rushed so I was very fortunate to meet them beforehand at the press conference...
