Cast: Noah Bastian, Michael Cuccione, Kevin Farley, Evan Farmer, Alex Solowitz
My Review: Twenty seconds into show, I just knew this episode was going to be WAY hilarious. The beginning cracks me up, when Kevin asks the guys if they notice anything missing on the Teen People Cover. "Me, I'm not in it! They turned me into a tree." (by the way, I don't see anything wrong with Ev's earlobes) And can I comment on that whole speech about how a tree leads to Emancipation of Proclamation and the issue of slavery. That just brings me back to my AP American History class which I took last year. Actually, the Emancipation of Proclamation, issued by Lincoln, did NOT free all the slaves. Only the slaves in the border states during the Civil War were emancipated, while those in the Confederacy were still under bondage. Okay, I know I'm getting a little bit out of control...back to the review. (Joanna, remember, we are talking about 2Gether!)
One of the elements that really makes this episode stand out is that there is actually a real DRAMA scene! When Kevin comes back to the house to see the guys, that conversation he has with Ev is so touching, to me at least. It's like, they are too proud to reveal their true feelings. That's what I call great acting!
Did you know how many new vocabs. you can learn from watching the series? "I'll work my KIESTER off," that's something you can say to impress people. Another very funny scene in this episode is when Kevin yells at the chef in Japanese...LOL!! I gotta mention this, how cute is it when Noah stuffs Kevin's jersey and pretends that's his big brother?!! Awe...so sweet! I'm growing to like Noah's character. I guess my only complaint is that they cut off Ev's solo in the end performance. But have you wondered since Kevin didn't know they were going to do "the hardest part of breaking up" for the broadcast and thus the group has never rehearsed, how come he has all the moves down? There is another mystery of 2Gether! I give two thumbs up for Kevin's performance and this episode definitely deserves an A!
So, the scene with Ev holding the baseball bat and gloves in that all-black outfit is TO DIE FOR! Can he be any cuter?! Oh, I love the part where the fake fan asks Kevin to do that "I'm edgy and huggable look." That is SO funny! Goodness, you have no idea how hard I laughed. That is classic! But one picky thing, Kevin, don't talk with your mouth opened. (remember when Kevin and his agents are in that Japanese restaurant)
