“Don’t have to stay with someone that makes you cry, you’ll end up killing all the love you have inside.”
“Marissa, I don’t understand you at all, you always…constantly complain about your relationship with Justin, but you won’t break up with him already!! I’ve told you dozens of times he’s nothing but a @#@#!!@$!#$!!” Shouted Chrissy Fisher, best friend of Marissa Jones.
“I know, I know, but I don’t know how to break up with him…” Marissa replied calmly.
“Marissa if you don’t do it soon he’s going to ruin everything about your love life, how’s that a way!” Chrissy shouted back.
“But…” Marissa started but gave up.
“Just do it!” Chrissy shouted then left the room slamming the door.
“Listen to your heart and let show. Don’t hold on to your pain just let it go, let it go.”
Marissa stood nervously at the front door of Justin’s house wondering what she should do. “Should I listen and say what my heart is telling me, or what my brain is telling me?” She finally slid down on the wall in deep thought and tears holding the pain within her. Finally she stood up determined to speak her mind to him and she knocked on the door.
“Hi Marissa.” He greeted as he opened the door. He was about to bend over to kiss her but she immediately slapped him on the face. He rubbed his cheek where she hit him and asked innocently, “Hey baby, what was that for?”
“You know what that was for!! For the past three months I have been sick and tired of how you treat me so badly but I was just afraid to say anything until now! I’m sick of YOU hitting ME everytime you get drunk or something! I’m sick of you getting drunk period! I’m sick of the yelling and you telling me what to do all the time! That is not what I would refer to as a relationship! Of course you’ll call it that because you’re actually getting you’re way, but I don’t know how you can do that to someone, it makes me wonder what goes on in there…” she paused and pointed to his head then to his heart, “…and in there. You have no idea how much you’ve hurt me which is why I am here to tell you all I’ve been so afraid to say, Justin…we’re no more.” And with that she left and ran away feeling stronger than ever with no tears rolling down her eyes for once. Justin, on the other hand sat down at his door and started crying over this for he didn’t get to argue with her or anything…it was all over.
“You can find the love you need if you set your heart free.”
“So you did it, you let that lil’ heart in there speak for you…good job.” Chrissy calmly complimented as the two girls started walking home home from school.
“Thanks. I’m so happy it’s over with.” Marissa replied. Suddenly the two girls were stopped when they heard Brian, the guy that Marissa ACTUALLY liked, at their school shouting Marissa’s name. Marissa turned around with Chrissy shortly turning around after. They both smiled, “Hi Brian.”
“Hi.” He replied to both of them.
“What did you want?” Marissa asked.
“Well you know the school dance next week, I was wondering if you’d like to be my date?” Brian asked.
“Sure.” Marissa smiled.
