Your Letter

5 years, 2 months, and 5 days had passed since Nicole broke up with Mike (from 112). But they didn't break up by will, Mike had to move away with his family to New York while Nicole couldn't go and had to stay in California. They tried to keep their relationship going but soon letters were no longer being sent, phone calls not being made, and both decided that it was over.

So here it is 5 years, 2 months, and 5 days later after the day they both made their decision. They were both almost over each other, but a small spark was still there. Nicole lived in a small apartment in Los Angeles by herself, it was about noon so she decided to go get the mail. She walked downstairs to the mailbox. When she took the mail out it looked like the usual mail, bills, free magazines from her cousin, stupid stuff, but there was one letter which had somebody's handwriting, and it looked very familiar.

Suddenly it slowly fell on the floor, Nikki looked down in the upper left corner to see who it was. It was from Mike. Nikki quickly picked it up off the ground then ran back to her apartment. As soon as she walked in the door she threw every other mail she had on the ground and ripped the letter open. It read:

"Dear Nikki,

I've always had this feeling in my heart since we broke up, it wasn't a good decision. I think no matter how far apart we are, I should have kept writing and calling, and I know I'm wrong for not. Well I finally decided to write you a letter because I truly do miss you.

First let me tell you something, in a few months I will be back in California, I guess New York isn't where I want to live. I was writing this letter hoping you would still want to see me. I figured if you wrote back it would show you felt the same still. Nicole, I could go all my life and I would never find anyone who could even come close to you, and I don't know how I let you go...I was so foolish to do such a stupid thing. You're the one I've waited for, and will be waiting for, until I see what happends. Nicole, take this as my apology, I know neither words or actions could make up for what I did, but please accept my apology.

Love,
Mike"

A tear trickled down her cheek as she finished the letter. She was planning to write back for she felt the same way, but felt it was her fault that they fell apart.

3 months later Mike was Nicole's door and they got back together.
